TMDHosting is a relatively small web host, with only around 300,000 customers. However, the plans are comprehensive, customer service is decent, and the signup process is slick.
This article takes you step-by-step through the process to connect a domain and install WordPress. If you like the sound of TMDHosting, I’d recommend reading the in-depth review which covers the features, ease of use, support, pricing, and more.
How to Connect a Domain and Install WordPress on TMD Hosting
First, log in to your TMDHosting dashboard. Then, click Services.
Once you are inside Services, you need to select Manage Product on the right.
Once you’ve clicked Manage Product, you will be in the dashboard for your hosting account. You can scroll down and find cPanel. This is where you go to access all of your hosting tools, such as the one-click installer for WordPress.
When you are in cPanel, click on WordPress in the Softaculous Apps Installer section. Just look for the WordPress icon.
Then, click Install Now and Install again on the subsequent page. Unless you want to configure the installation yourself, just keep all the settings on the default options and go for the quick install.
Once you’ve hit install, you need to wait for it to be set up. It’s very quick, taking less than 60 seconds. If everything’s gone according to plan, you’ll see a success message.
Now, you need to map your domain to the WordPress install. To do so, head over to your welcome email and find the nameservers. Simply update your nameservers at your domain registrar and wait for the DNS to propagate.
TMDHosting gives all hosting customers a free Cloudflare CDN. To install it, go back to the cPanel and select Cloudflare. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a free Cloudflare account and connect it to your website.
After installation, you will observe an on-screen notification indicating the activation of the CDN. Ultimately, proceed to your website URL to verify the live status of your site.
Beginner-Friendly and Fast
TMDHosting uses cPanel, which means all of the processes are simple, straightforward, and user-friendly. If you have any problems, the live chat team is very efficient and well-informed. I’d have no hesitation recommending this host to a beginner.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by TMDHosting, so unless you’re looking for a more advanced host, I’d recommend reading the in-depth review. But if it’s not quite right for you, perhaps you’re looking for a vendor who specializes in WordPress hosting. Click here to read about Liquid Web.
