Hostinger’s extremely low-cost service, especially its beginner shared hosting plan, could seem similar to Nixiweb’s free hosting plan. However, they’re different. I tested both hosts thoroughly on features, performance, pricing, security, and support. I find Hostinger miles ahead of Nixiweb in all categories.

1. Plans and Pricing
Hostinger wins with its affordable plans and money-back guarantee
Hostinger offers an almost complete bouquet of hosting services – from shared and WordPress hosting to cloud hosting and VPS. In contrast, Nixiweb only specializes in free PHP web hosting. Hostinger’s shared and cloud hosting plans are available in three price levels that are much cheaper than similar plans of other web hosts. The only catch is that these low prices are available with the longest commitment (quadrennial) and renew at higher prices (1.2 to almost 2 times for the shared plans). Its WordPress plans cost more than the shared plans but offer value for money with multiple user-friendly features. If you’ve outgrown shared resources, Hostinger’s affordable VPS would be a good choice.

Multiple user-friendly features win it for Hostinger
With Hostinger’s shared plans, you’ll get CloudLinux OS, custom-developed hPanel, LiteSpeed powered caching, customized advanced optimization, SSD disk space, a free SSL certificate and free domain (with premium and business plans), daily data backups, multiple PHP versions (5.2-7.4), 1-click installer with 100+ apps, a website builder (free for 1 month), and a custom cache manager, among others. Nixiweb offers free hosting for Spanish-speaking users. Its plan comes with nixiPanel, unlimited space, MySQL databases, database administrator, and support for WordPress, Joomla, PHP, and phpBB. The problem is important details about bandwidth, SSL certificate, type of backups, etc are left out.
You can compare these two web hosts by checking this comparison table.

With a wide variety of hosting plans on offer that have multiple user-friendly features, Hostinger wins this round hands down.
Hostinger takes performance seriously; Nixiweb holds it ransom
Hostinger’s servers are deployed in Tier-3 datacenters across 7 different regions in the U.K., U.S., Singapore, Netherlands, Indonesia, Brazil, and Lithuania. It also uses multiple performance-enhancing features like SSDs, LiteSpeed cache plugins, GZIP compression, and optional Cloudflare CDN. In contrast Nixiweb gives no information – either about its server locations or any performance-enhancing features.
Hostinger wins hands down
Hostinger takes your website’s security very seriously and offers multiple security measures. These include SSL certificate, optional CDN, data redundancy with RAID-10, weekly/daily backups, LVE containers for account isolation, 100% automated bootstrap process, proactive and predictive server monitoring, Wanguard anti-DDoS protection, and Bitninja/Imunify360 (WAF). Nixiweb gives no information about its security measures, which makes someone like me (a security-concerned user) suspicious of how secure its free PHP hosting plans really are.
With its comprehensive and robust security, Hostinger wins this round easily, thanks to an almost non-existent competition from Nixiweb.
Nixiweb’s non-existent support helps Hostinger win easily
Hostinger makes life easier with its 24/7 live chat support plus email and ticket support (for logged-in users). If you hate waiting times to contact support, you may even opt for its paid “Priority Support” that positions you on top of the queue whenever you need assistance. I used Hostinger’s live chat and was impressed with the quick replies of its competent support staff. Multiple tutorials along with a blog and knowledgebase are there to offer adequate self-help.
Though Nixiweb says its tech support is available 24/7 viaphone, email, and an online contact form, I found it non-existent as my pre-sales questions submitted via both its online form and email went unanswered even after 24 hours. I also found a handful of Nixiweb reviews that complain about its lackluster support. With a blog that has generic posts and no knowledgebase or FAQ, Nixiweb doesn’t help those looking for self-support.
Hostinger beats Nixiweb once again to take the winner’s crown.
Hostinger Is Miles Ahead of Nixiweb
There’s no free lunch – this adage holds true for Nixiweb. With a website that has minimal information about its hosting plan and features and almost non-existent support, this web host doesn’t inspire confidence despite its free hosting offer. As a result, I would recommend you choose Hostinger. It has plans with value for money, backed by a competent and quick customer support desk. Hostinger even scores points in its favor as it’s included in our list of the best web hosting services.
