Overview

homeKindHost was established in 2000 and its main office is in Finland. Its services as listed on its website include domain registration, shared hosting, reseller hosting, managed and unmanaged VPS, and dedicated servers. Its servers are located in the United States and it carries out business using an English website.

Features and Ease of Use

features 1 850x435

Although KindHost claims to offer WordPress shared plans, clicking on them shows that they are the same as its normal shared hosting plans. These plans are called Starter, Standard, Advanced, and Advanced ++. Their features include:

  • 99.9% uptime guarantee
  • From 2GB to 50GB disk space
  • From 60GB to unlimited bandwidth
  • Daily and weekly backups
  • Free SSL certificate

KindHost uses SSD, which provides high performance. It improves your website speed and offers better durability than hard disks.

Its shared hosting uses the CloudLinux operating system. This creates an environment that feels more like a virtual server than a shared platform by isolating each user and giving them allocated server resources. CloudLinux helps to improve the stability and security of the server.

There are also features that come with CloudLinux OS, which include OptimumCache, CageFS, and SecureLinks technologies. They help to reduce server load, and improve performance and security.

There is also LiteSpeed Web Server, which improves performance greatly. It delivers static and dynamic content way faster than Apache. It also improves security with its anti-DDoS and mod_security features.

KindHost offers cPanel as a control panel through which you can install the free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate that comes with its plans, and carry out many other functions with ease. While each plan is optimized for WordPress, they also come with a one-click installer through which you can install over 250 other CMSes.

KindHost shared plans are also available for reselling. This means that you can customize your control panel and start selling shared hosting plans yourself.

Pricing and Support

No matter which plan you select to suit your website’s requirements, all of them are offered at an attractive price. You have the option to subscribe on a monthly or yearly basis. Nevertheless, opting for the yearly subscription period grants you a discounted rate, enhancing its appeal.

A free domain for the first year is available on the Advanced plan, while a free lifetime domain is available on the Advanced ++ plan. The other two plans do not come with free domain registration.

From the shopping cart, the available payment method is the PayPal processor, so you can pay with your wallet or credit/debit card.

KindHost offers support through live chat, phone, email, contact form, and ticket. I sent an email, but never got a reply.
