Move Host’s website is in English, but there is a mismatch between the website product pages and the store/cart pages.
Features and Ease of Use
Move Host offers seven shared hosting packages (including a free hosting package), four VPS packages (including a cloud VPS package in the cart), four cloud hosting packages, seven dedicated server packages, and three reseller hosting packages.
As I’ve already alluded, the store/cart pages are not consistent with the website product pages in terms of the number of shared hosting and VPS plans or even their specifications.
As detailed on the product pages, the shared hosting packages provide you with:
- 5 GB to 30 GB space
- 10 GB to 200 GB bandwidth
- cPanel control panel
- One to unlimited databases
- Unlimited email accounts
- Unlimited mailing lists
Whether you want a CMS such as WordPress, an e-commerce platform such as OpenCart, or a bulletin board such as phpBB, the included Softaculous installer will let you install it with one click. Move Host’s HTML templates should allow you to construct a professional web presence without much technical expertise, and the store/cart pages include a website builder. You can also use the unlimited FTP accounts (with different levels of access) to upload web files.
This host’s servers run on 100% green energy, so all power comes from renewable sources. The uptime guarantee is either 99.9% (as detailed on the company overview page) or 99.99% (as detailed in the terms-of-service), but I couldn’t get customer services to clarify this.
Pricing and Support
Move Host’s shared hosting packages are dirt cheap, and you can pay for them in various currencies (U.S. dollars, Kenyan shillings, Rwandan franc, Tanzanian shillings, or Ugandan shillings) on billing cycles from monthly to triennial. Although the cart pages present PayPal and M-Pesa as the only payment methods, the company overview page also alludes to bank transfer.
A 30-day money-back guarantee gives you the reassurance that you can get your money back if you change your mind within the first month.
Contact the 24/7 customer support team by telephone, ticket, email, WhatsApp, and (possibly) live chat. Unfortunately, my pre-sales exploratory email went unanswered, so it’s a good thing that there is a knowledge base for self-support purposes.
