Sitey Review 2024 – Why You Need to Give It a Try

Even then, Sitey offers some impressive features, including a versatile blogging tool, a nice selection of modern and responsive templates, and a fuss-free editor that make Sitey a worthwhile site builder to check out.

Sitey Offers Some Solid Features but Do Not Expect Much in the Way of Design Freedom

To compare the best website builders on ease of use, templates, customer service, and value for money, we tried to build the same site on each platform. Check out the results here.

Launched in 2014, Sitey is a pretty recent website builder, but it is already making waves, though not always for the right reasons.

First, let’s get this out of the way—for unknown reasons, the company behind Sitey hosts this website builder under different names including Sitelio.com, SiteBuilder.com, and WebsiteBuilder.com.  There are slight differences between these products, such as the pricing plans, but everything else is more or less identical.

Other than that, Sitey has some good things going for it. It was built with ease of use in mind, so even amateurs can easily set up a functional website in a matter of minutes.

While Sitey may be known for the eye-catching templates, one of the places they are severely lacking is the number of available templates. For examples, in comparison to the wedding template section – Wix has a staggering 31 options, while Sitey has a paltry showing of only eight.

The site builder has a host of impressive features including a blogging tool, eCommerce integration, SEO, social media integration, and custom domains to get you up and running.

One of Sitey’s strongest features is its support structure. Reaching the support team is fairly easy through live chat, email, social media, and most importantly through phone.  Support is an area that many site builders don’t do too well in, but Sitey has tried to put its best foot forward in this area.

Overall, Sitey may be a good pick if what you are after is an easy, no-fuss DIY site builder you can use to set up a website quickly.

Templates

Sitey-Templates

An Impressive Array of Themes to Make Your Website Your Own

Massive selection of modern templates: Regardless of your niche, you are definitely set to spot a Sitey theme that suits your brand. There are thousands of templates to choose from, all grouped into appropriate categories for easy selection. Many of the themes are modern and sleek, but others are mundane and old-fashioned. Want to start from absolute scratch? There are blank templates offered too.

Responsive: Most site builders lack a mobile editing function and Sitey is no exception. However, most of the themes will fit perfectly onto any device, whether that is a desktop or a smartphone. On the downside, mobile templates are only available to users with paid plans.

Customization: Compared to builders such as Squarespace, Sitey doesn’t offer many customization opportunities. Still, you can personalize your website to some extent by modifying only background images, fonts, text, and colors – but that’s just about it.

Features

Impressive Features That Will Make Your Website Pop

Social media integration: Social media is essential to improving your website’s visibility and boosting sales, leads, and conversions. Sitey offers social media widgets including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn, which you can integrate into your website to make it easy to share your content.  The Google Analytics feature will come in handy when tracking social media campaigns and other important metrics—such as the number of visitors, sources of traffic, referrers, and unique visitors.

E-commerce: Sitey does not have its own eCommerce function, but this shouldn’t stop you from building a fully-fledged digital storefront to sell your products. Sitey’s support for Ecwid integration lets you display products for sale, include descriptions and categories, and accept payments. Other than Ecwid, Sitey only supports PayPal as a payment processor, which is a bit limiting.

Blog: The availability of a strong blogging tool is always a good sign where site builders are concerned, and Sitey doesn’t disappoint in this regard. The blogging tool is comprised of a flexible and easy-to-use post manager that lets you categorize, tag and pin posts, edit drafts, and organize published entries. Even if this is your first time writing a blog, you will find the process incredibly fuss-free.

Ease of use

Clean Minimalist Interface Built With the User in Mind

Sitey’s site-building editor is easily accessible and incredibly straightforward. With many other site builders, finding features and elements can be a daunting task, but Sitey’s minimalist drag and drop editor clearly displays every element you need, ensuring that building your website is as hassle-free as possible.

Handy Features That Make Building a Website Easy.

As a drag and drop program, Sitey is delightfully easy to use. Even without any prior experience or coding knowledge, you would be able to set up a website within an hour. Some features that stand out include the Master Page Elements, Add Panel, and Design Panel.

The Master Page Element is a valuable time-saving feature that allows you to effortlessly drag and drop elements to any location on a page, and these changes will be automatically replicated on every page of your site. The Add Panel simplifies website customization by enabling you to easily modify various elements with a simple click of the mouse. This includes the blogging tool, product features, social media widgets, and buttons, making the entire process a breeze.

Support

Dependable and Easily-Accessible Support

Sitey has gone the extra mile to provide as much support as they can to their customers.

The support center lives up to its name with everything from a FAQs section, a searchable knowledge base, and a dedicated page for technical support.

The Sitey support team can be reached via live chat or email, and if you have a pressing concern pertaining to billing, you can give them a call.

Few website builders take their time to offer truly all-around and easily accessible customer service, but the fact that Sitey has proven itself otherwise is a big plus.

4.3

Pricing

Friendly Prices But Transparency is Missing

Sitey offers a free bare-bones plan that includes a five-page website, 50MB storage, 5MB file upload, and 1GB bandwidth.

To really get the most out of this site builder, you’d need to upgrade to one of the three paid plans. The Starter is the entry-level plan with a free custom domain, free hosting, and no Sitey branding.

The Pro plan comes with everything on the Starter plan, plus access to mobile responsive templates, support for search engine optimization (SEO) and priority support.

The highest-tiered account is the eCommerce plan, which is suitable if you are looking to sell products on your website. This plan includes all the features of the Pro account, plus support for payment processing.

Sitey claims that the prices shown on its website are promotional and are applicable only on the first month or year of service (depending on the subscription duration). After this, the subscription is automatically renewed at regular rates.

Sitey REVIEW: BOTTOM LINE

Sitey is a promising program but it certainly does not come close to more robust builders such as Wix or Weebly. It falls short in various areas including the lack of a built-in eCommerce function, limited design freedom, and the owners’ decision to use multiple domains for the same product. Sitey’s promotional pricing structure may also be a bit confusing to some users. Even then, Sitey offers some impressive features, including a versatile blogging tool, a nice selection of modern and responsive templates, and a fuss-free editor that make Sitey a worthwhile site builder to check out.

Sitey Review

Please folks keep a very close eye on the billing...I really enjoyed building the website with lots of great features that sitey has, but was very disappointed that they seem to wanna not give you a clear picture on the pricing.

Oh the other thing that was disappointing was the contact form that they offer...your better to go to woofoo or a form builder.

Thank you
Richard
