Synergy Servers Ltd (also known as vHost.lt) is relatively new to the market, since it’s only been offering web hosting services since 2014 onwards. The company is based in Lithuania and serves over 1,100 clients across 18 countries. It features shared hosting, VPS hosting, and domain registration services. From the looks of it, the website has a simple but professional layout. The company’s website and services are only available in Lithuanian.
Features and Ease of Use
Synergy Servers Ltd may have a simple website, but its feature set certainly isn’t. The shared hosting packages vary in some features depending on the tier, but they all share the following:
- Free SSL certificates
- 99% uptime guarantee
- Automatic regular backups
- Website designer
In addition, Synergy Servers Ltd will migrate your website from your previous provider free of charge. Nothing needs to be done from your end other than providing your information.
The website designer (or website builder) is included with all hosting plans and allows you to easily design the layout of your website through an easy drag-and-drop process; you won’t need to pick up any web design or programming knowledge.
Pricing and Support
Under Synergy Servers Ltd’s shared hosting category, there are four price plans: MINI, MIDI, MAXI, and MAXI+. The differences between the plans include disk space, bandwidth, supported domains, MySQL databases, and email accounts. Compared to the larger European and the international market, Synergy Servers Ltd’s overall prices are considered inexpensive.
On the other hand, Synergy Servers Ltd doesn’t have a clear refund policy and it doesn’t offer a free trial. In other words, you’ll be trying out the service at your own risk. Payment methods accepted includes all major credit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers. However, it’s worth mentioning that when I initially tried signing up for any plan, I kept hitting an error page during the checkout process.
I ended up having to contact customer support regarding this issue. But even though they do have live chat support, it was offline the many occasions when I checked. I also submitted a support ticket but never received a reply. While I was waiting, I took a look at the company’s knowledge base; sadly, this didn’t help much as there’s not much information available. I couldn’t even find a phone number to call customer support.
