Features and Ease of Use
3dcart offers you a one-stop-shop for e-commerce success, with everything you need so that there is no need for any external applications. You can create a store, a blog, or a newsletter using their >200 features. The built-in templates and themes are already optimized for mobile phones, making your job much easier.
You get access to useful marketing and customer retention tools including gift cards, a loyalty system, and promotions. These tools are complemented by a set of handy SEO tools to help ensure search engine success.
A particularly exciting feature they offer is the syncing of your online store to other store channels such as your Facebook page or Amazon store. This helps to show buyers that you are well established on multiple platforms.
Just as you get a cPanel when hosting your website with a hosting company, 3dcart provides you with an online store manager so you can manage orders, monitor shipments, and administer your inventory. The real-time shipping feature helps you find the cheapest way to send packets in the post and print the appropriate labels.
Some additional handy tools they provide are ‘buy’ buttons, subscription software, and point-of-sale features.
Pricing and Support
The four packages available at 3dcart are named Startup, Basic, Plus and Pro. All plans include the following:
- Secure web hosting
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Domain registration
- Facebook store
- API Access
You are allowed 1, 2, 5, and 15 staff users respectively with each package, and the package prices increase accordingly. Although the Startup package limits you to putting a maximum of 100 products up for sale, all other packages allow unlimited products. 3dcart supports over a hundred different payment methods and doesn’t charge a transaction fee.
You can pay for your chosen package monthly or yearly, but you’ll end up paying twice as much on the monthly payment plan. If you’re not 100% sure you want to commit, you can take advantage of the 15-day trial period.
3dcart’s live chat is run by HubBot, which (I’m sure you’ve guessed) is a bot. So for a real human response, you’ll have to send them an email instead. Since they’re very active on social media, you might also try pinging them on Facebook or Twitter. And be sure also to check out their very useful YouTube videos.
