Wix Launches an AI Chat to Help Users Get Started

Wix, a platform where users can create, manage, and grow a digital presence, has introduced a new AI chat experience that will help businesses launch their website with Wix.

The AI experience starts when users join Wix. Through a conversational interface, the chatbot will ask a number of questions to best understand the business’s needs. Based on the responses, the chat will ask follow-up questions to get a more precise understanding before recommending which Wix features and components will bring the most value.

Recommendations will include suggestions for design such as website templates and images, useful website apps, and advice on text and tone preference. The more detailed information the user provides the more customized the responses will be, ensuring personalized recommendations that best suit the business’s objectives.

For example, the chat may ask a user about its target audience and in response will provide some sample blog posts that will have the highest impact for their intended audience.

In addition to the recommendations, Wix will build a business profile that organizes all the recommended components and applications in one place. Users will then be able to continue to personalize and adapt their website from a dedicated dashboard.

This new AI chat experience is available for all new Wix users in English.

“This new AI technology serves as an excellent starting point for creating a business profile by eliminating the need for users to manually understand which components they need to run their business online,” said Guy Sopher, Head of AI Assistant at Wix.

Wix has had a long relationship with AI, starting with its first website generator, Artificial Design Intelligence (ADI) in 2016. Since then, it has continued to improve the experience for users by adapting its offer to include AI in a number of its components.

And the journey is not over. In July, WIx CEO Avishai Abrahami published more details about the company’s vision for AI and how it will continue to bring business value. Key in its line up of features are an AI powered Site Generator, Page and Section Creator, an Object Eraser, and AI assistant.
