Squarespace Introduces a Wealth of Enhancements

Squarespace Refresh 2023 introduces a number of updates and evolutions that will bring more value to Squarespace customers. The website building and hosting company is announcing new ways to sell, stand out, and scale.

Courses, announced early September, features tools and templates to help users create and sell learning content. Businesses can sell course material individually, as part of a series, or bundled with other services that include memberships and videos.

Improvements to Client Invoicing include a new client intake form and CRM to streamline the lead to invoicing process. Squarespace also has several enhancements in the pipeline for invoices, project tracking, and proposals.

Squarespace Payments will soon be available for the US market, with more countries projected in 2024. This native payment solution offers fast and secure payment options. Squarespace will further expand its commerce tools with fulfillment profiles, checkout improvements, and a new add-to-cart feature.

Productivity updates offer new ways to stand out with artificial intelligence, improvements to usability, and integration with partners to give users more value-added capabilities.

Squarespace AI uses GenAI capabilities to generate text for web pages and email campaigns. Squarespace Domains will be adding new top-level domains such as .nz and .fr, setting up bulk domain management, and redesigning the domains dashboard.

With upgrades to its Enterprise and Tock solutions, customers have new ways to scale their website. New tools in Enterprise will improve collaboration features and provide increased security for internal sites. Updates to Tock will improve the search and booking flows for its hospitality offering, including credit card holds to reduce no-shows, and more flexibility in start times, ticket types, and pricing for events.

New extensions within the Squarespace ecosystem will allow users to create tax returns, connect to accounting software, contribute to sustainability initiatives, and get access to professional video and photography content.

Founded in 2003, Squarespace is a platform that helps entrepreneurs succeed online. Initially starting off as a software as a service (SaaS) to help users create and build webpages, Squarespace quickly diversified its offerings and now has more than 1 million customers who have created more than 3 million websites.

The Refresh 2022 campaign announced last October unveiled over 100 new features and updates focused on improving monetization capabilities, building brand recognition, and managing business operations.
