Meet Wuilt: The Easy No-Code Sitebuilder For Businesses in the MEAN Region

Bethenny Carl
Website Planet had the chance to sit down and chat with Ahmed Rostom, CEO of Wuilt, the leading Arabic platform for creating ready-made websites and ecommerce stores trusted by over 350.000 online business owners.

We will learn how Wuilt’s focus on localization and user-friendliness helps small and medium-sized businesses in the MENA region create websites in five minutes with no code, and break down barriers such as language, complexity, and cost.

If you’re interested in simplifying website creation as much as possible and expanding your reach, this interview is a must-read.

Who is Ahmed Rostom?

I started my career in tech in 2007. In 2013, I co-founded Vertex Advertising, where I played a key role in identifying and procuring financial resources and partnerships until I left in 2019. In the meanwhile, I co-founded Wuilt in 2016 as the CEO/Co-Founder.

Before that, I attended October 6 University from 2004 to 2008, where I obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree and several certifications from Google, including Display Advertising, Google Adwords Advanced Search, Google Adwords Fundamentals, Google Analytics, Mobile Advertising, and Video Advertising.

Let’s introduce Wuilt to our audience. What is it and how does it work?

Wuilt is a SoftwareasaService (SaaS) platform designed to empower small and medium-sized businesses in the MENA region to establish their online presence effortlessly. We specialize in helping businesses create websites and online stores, without the need for any prior experience in design or coding. What sets us apart is our focus on localization; we offer a fully Arabic interface alongside English, allowing us to cater directly to our primary market in Arabicspeaking countries.

Wuilt addresses several key pain points that businesses, especially in the MENA region, encounter when they try to establish an online presence:
  • Language Barrier: The first major obstacle is the language barrier. Many website builders don’t offer Arabic interfaces or support, making it difficult for native Arabic speakers to engage fully with the platform. Wuilt offers a full Arabic interface along with bilingual customer support to remove this obstacle.
  • Complexity and Technical Skills: Traditional website builders often require a certain level of design and coding expertise, which many small business owners don’t have. Wuilt’s automated design process eliminates this need; the platform essentially crafts the website for you.
  • High Costs: The alternative to DIY website building is usually hiring freelancers or agencies, which can be prohibitively expensive. Our pricing is tailored to be affordable for small and medium businesses, offering plans that range from $50 to $2500 a year.
  • TimeConsuming: Building a website can be a lengthy process, often taking weeks or months to complete. Wuilt enables businesses to get their website up and running in less than five minutes.
  • Design Inconsistencies: With other platforms that offer high levels of customization, users can inadvertently create disjointed or unprofessional designs. Wuilt’s prebuilt section designs ensure that the website remains cohesive and professionallooking, no matter what elements you choose to include.
  • Localization: Understanding local markets is vital for any business. Being rooted in the region, Wuilt has an inherent understanding of the local market needs and preferences, something that international competitors might lack.
  • Multilingual Support: Businesses aiming for a broader reach will find our instant translation feature extremely useful. It opens up their market, allowing them to cater to an international audience effortlessly.
In summary, Wuilt takes the hassle out of website building. We offer a fast, affordable, and simple solution that’s localized to meet the specific needs of businesses in the MENA region.

We’ve designed our platform to be incredibly userfriendly, specifically catering to those who may not have any technical or design background. Small business owners and bloggers can effortlessly create professionalgrade websites without the need to write a single line of code or make intricate design choices.

Our platform adopts an automated approach: users simply enter key information about their business or blog, and our system takes care of the rest. The website essentially builds itself while the user watches it come to life. We offer a selection of predesigned sections that users can choose from, ensuring that the end result is always a polished, cohesive website.

If users want to personalize their website further, they can do so by choosing from our range of color palettes, fonts, and other stylistic elements. But even these options are curated to ensure that no matter what choices they make, the website will still look professionally designed.

We also offer 24/7 customer support in both Arabic and English to assist users every step of the way. Whether they have a question about a feature or need some guidance during the building process, our support team is just a chat or email away.

So Wuilt is specifically designed so that nontechnical users can easily create professionallooking websites, without the hassle and without breaking the bank.

Another key feature of Wuilt is its focus on responsive design. We recognize that in today’s digital age, a website needs to look good and function well not just on desktop computers but also on tablets and mobile phones. That’s why every website created with Wuilt is automatically optimized for various screen sizes and devices right from the get go.

Our automated design process includes builtin responsiveness. This means that users don’t have to go through the additional steps of configuring their website for mobile or tablet views. Our system takes care of it automatically. Whether you’re viewing your website on a 27inch monitor or a 5inch smartphone, it will look clean, professional, and easy to navigate.

And the best part is that this doesn’t require any extra work or technical knowhow from the user. You won’t need to tweak settings or adjust layouts for different devices. Our platform does all of that for you. Essentially, you build your website once, and it’s automatically set to look great everywhere.

So, our commitment to responsive design isn’t just a feature; it’s an integral part of the user experience we offer, ensuring that websites created with Wuilt meet the modern standards of web design and accessibility.

However, these automations still leave plenty of room for “structured freedom,” allowing users to easily customize colors, fonts, animation styles, and sections without compromising the website’s integrity. Users can add, move, or delete sections as they please, while still working within a guided framework. For those seeking even greater flexibility, we offer a custom section tailored for advanced users and agencies. Here, you can add rows and columns, insert various elements, and finetune paddings and margins to your liking.

We’ve also recently rolled out our App Center, which offers customers the option to integrate with a diverse set of applications like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Hubspot, Gameball, and many others.

In addition to that, we’ve also recently made our API publicly accessible. This empowers our customers to develop their own unique integrations, and also allows solution providers to seamlessly integrate their services with our platform.

Since our inception, we’ve prioritized customer support by creating a robust Help Center that offers stepbystep tutorials, both in written and video formats. What distinguishes us is the handson approach of our Support and Success teams. They work diligently with customers to ensure they realize the full value of our offerings.
