Tell us the story behind your company: What inspired its creation, and how has it evolved over time?
Blend AI was born during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Dean Krowitz, my co-founder, and I saw how many e-commerce businesses were struggling to manage their advertising as the world shifted more rapidly to online shopping. The pandemic forced a massive shift in consumer behavior, with more people shopping online than ever before, and businesses needed to adapt quickly to this change.
We realized that while big brands had the resources to navigate this change, smaller and medium-sized e-commerce stores were often overwhelmed by the complexity of managing effective ad campaigns. They were facing steep learning curves, rising advertising costs, and an increasingly competitive landscape. We started with a lean MVP to validate the idea—and found our first customers quickly, confirming there was a real need. Since then, we’ve expanded our product, added more channels, and continuously improved our AI to stay ahead of the industry’s rapid changes.
