ActiveCampaign Adds Square Loyalty for Multi-Location Brands
ActiveCampaign launched a new integration that syncs Square Loyalty data into ActiveCampaign HQ, its marketing automation platform for franchises and multi-location brands.
The integration is designed to help retail, food and beverage, salon, and service-based businesses across the US, Canada, and Australia streamline marketing automation across locations, personalize campaigns, and boost visibility.
The integration builds on ActiveCampaign’s existing Square partnership, which connects Square Payments (online and in-person payment data) to customer records and campaign activity within the ActiveCampaign HQ platform. The Square loyalty data is also available directly within ActiveCampaign HQ.
This integrated setup enables franchises and multi-location brands to unify marketing across all locations with the possibility for store-level customization and reporting. Businesses can track loyalty activity, like check-ins, visits, and rewards, at scale. Marketing teams can then leverage these real-time customer behavior insights to create highly personalized campaigns that drive engagement and results.
Businesses can take actions like offering rewards for frequent or higher-value purchases to boost order value. They can also set automations triggered by specific events, like loyalty milestones, inactivity, or birthdays, to drive repeat business. For example, a marketer can use a 30-day inactivity period as a trigger for a promotion or special offer tailored to customers’ previous behavior.
“This allows businesses to not just reward customers, but to create personalized experiences that drive repeat visits and lifelong regulars,” Head of Food and Beverage Partnerships at Square, Ramsey Aweti, explains in a press release.
Outside of Square Loyalty, businesses can link Square to ActiveCampaign through Model Context Protocol (MCP). This standardized communication system connects applications and AI models, enabling them to exchange context and trigger real-time actions based on customer data and predefined goals.
In 2023, ActiveCampaign acquired Onesend, an automation platform specifically designed for franchises, multi-location brands, and resellers. Now its capabilities are fully merged into ActiveCampaign, with OnesendHQ rebranded as ActiveCampaign HQ, enabling multi-location businesses to create, distribute, and manage email and SMS campaigns across different customer groups.
