The global online marketplace for freelance talent, Fiverr, recently launched Project Partner, a white-glove service that allows big-budget businesses to get their complex freelance projects managed by a dedicated project manager from start to finish.

The Project Partner solution is a direct response to the growing number of businesses increasingly hiring freelancers for complex projects. Shai-Lee Spigelman, General Manager of Fiverr Business, likened Project Partner to “the creative service director of a top-notch freelancing team, helping all members work together seamlessly toward project completion” with the help of “hand-selected professionals with expertise in their designated field.”

The new service is exclusive to Fiverr Business clients, and it’s designed to help them “execute complex projects with ease, confidence, and maximum efficiency.” Fiverr Business clients need to dedicate at least $3,000 on a project to be able to get their own project manager.

The Project Partner fee is a one-time cost and accounts for 12% of the final project budget. If, for example, the client’s final project budget is $10,000, the Project Partner’s share would be $1,200, leaving the client with $8,800 to dedicate to the project itself. Given that the average hourly rate for project managers on Upwork ranges between $19 and $45, Fiverr’s Project Partner might prove a more affordable alternative.

The relationship starts with a free consultation, during which the project manager learns the project’s scope and specifics to help them determine the best Fiverr freelancers to complete it. As the project moves along, the project manager ensures everything is delivered on time and within budget.

Fiverr launched Fiverr Business in 2020 to help businesses with large teams and big budgets find top-notch freelance talent. Introduced as a premium service, Fiverr Business allows clients to manage their projects, budget, and communication within one dashboard, as well as save top and repeat freelancers for quick access.
