Features and Ease of Use
Semayra offers new customers a free website migration service to help them move their websites quickly. Transfers typically take 24 hours, and this covers the transfer of your website, files, and database. To qualify for this service, you have to order a hosting package.
Whether you transfer your site or not, customers who sign up for premium hosting or mini hosting benefit from the following features:
- Domain registration/transfer
- Linux/Windows OS
- Three environments per site
- 50 GB monthly bandwidth
- Email forwarding
- DNS management
- ID protection
- Web Host Manager Complete Solution (WHMCS)
The cPanel control panel provides everything you need to manage your web hosting. You can order a domain and point it at your website IP address. Once your website is up and running, you can integrate the Free CDN to ramp up the performance, and also secure your site with the free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate. You can also get a dedicated IP address for a small fee.
For more customization options, you can choose an SSD VPS or dedicated server instead. This gives you the freedom to select the number of cores and install an operating system of your choice.
Semayra uses a standard WHCMS template, which – although unattractive – does the job it is designed to do. I found it easy to compare the hosting packages.
Pricing and Support
Semayra’s affordable hosting comes with a good number of features plus standard tools that will help you take your business online. I like the fact that the shared hosting and VPS packages have no setup fees. Customers get a 3-day money-back guarantee with no strings attached, which is much shorter than the 30-day window offered by many hosts.
Customers can sign up for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual plans and pay for their hosting packages in three currencies (USD, EUR, or INR) via PayPal, Perfect Money, PayUmoney, WebMoney, and even the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. The annual option includes a 12% discount.
Support isn’t really Semayra’s key strength. I waited for more than 24 hours after raising a ticket and still got no response. A live chat option would be an excellent addition. That said, you can also summon technical support via Facebook and email. Unfortunately, the nice looking knowledge base contains only five entries.
