HostWeb is fine, but fine is not good enough. While HostWeb is a decent web host, you can get better quality hosting at a cheaper price with Hostinger, for example.
Since the start of its journey in 2002, HostWeb has provided different types of hosting solutions to customers with different requirements. This Israeli company uses IBM’s most advanced servers to provide reliable services and storage to clients.
HostWeb’s suite of services includes Linux hosting, reseller hosting, dedicated servers, colocation services, SSL licenses, domain registration, and more. The HostWeb website supports the Hebrew language.
Features and Ease of Use
HostWeb offers six Linux hosting plans, two dedicated server plans, and six reseller hosting plans. The Linux hosting plans provide you with:
- 99.9% server availability
- CentOS operating system
- 10 MB to 2,000 MB storage
- 2 GB to 100 GB monthly traffic
- cPanel control panel
- Unlimited FTP accounts
- One to unlimited websites
- Unlimited subdomains
- One to unlimited POP3/SMTP mailboxes
- Antivirus and antispam
HostWeb provides site statistics that should help you understand your website traffic, and GeoTrust RapidSSL certificates to secure your site, reassure your visitors, and boost your search engine standing. RAID storage means that your data is duplicated to guard against disk failure.
Pricing and Support
HostWeb’s Linux hosting plans are priced competitively. Available billing cycles range from monthly to biennially, but you’ll have to check which billing cycles are available for the plan you pick. Although you can pay (in U.S. dollars) by bank transfer, credit card, or check, you can’t purchase a plan entirely online. You have to send details about your order, or call the company’s telephone reservation center. There is no money-back guarantee as far as I can see.
You can contact the 24/7 customer support desk via telephone, email, or online contact form. Unfortunately, I failed to secure any response to my contact form submission.
