ActiveCampaign Introduces AI Content Creator for Marketing

ActiveCampaign, an email marketing, automation, and CRM company, is turning to AI to help its customers with sales outreach and marketing messaging. ActiveCampaign AI is the first of several AI-enhanced tools, and available in beta to users on all plans via an early-access waitlist.

Once signed up, users can find ActiveCampaign AI within the email designer on the platform. Unlike traditional, all-purpose chatbots like ChatGPT, ActiveCampaign AI will help marketers ideate, create, and optimize content. According to the company’s announcement, marketers can “go from idea to quality content at lightning speed” thanks to these new AI capabilities.

Shortening the time to get from idea to ready-to-use content allows marketers to experiment with different messages, conduct effective A/B testing, and ultimately optimize campaigns for what brings the best results, ActiveCampaign emphasizes.

Initially, the tool will assist users in email content generation, “turning keywords into written content ready to be refined and delivered.” For each prompt, users will receive three options. Users can refine the generated content with relevant keywords, personalized tone, and desired length until they are satisfied with the result.

As one of the leading email marketing companies, ActiveCampaign promised wider AI-assisted content creation support in the following months. This means ActiveCampaign AI will also be able to write 1:1 emails, landing pages, forms, and text messages. The company is working on upgrading the tool to generate entire campaigns from a single prompt. The upgrade should be available later this year.

Microsoft’s chatbot launch in November 2022 kicked off an AI race among tech companies. Both Microsoft and Google infused conversational AI into their search experience and generative AI across a wide range of their products.

Website builder Wix introduced AI Text Creator within its editor in February of this year. IONOS also introduced AI text generation capabilities in its site builder MyWebsite Now.
