To compare the best web hosts, we hosted the same WordPress website on each one and tested performance, customer service, and value for money. Check out the results here.
American host OHosti was founded in 2009. It offers a wide range of hosting solutions for free, including shared hosting, VPS hosting, reseller hosting, and domain registration.
OHosti’s well-organized website is in English, but the WHMCS-powered client pages can be switched into many alternative languages.
Features and Ease of Use
The two shared hosting types (Free Silver Package and Free Gold Package) each have three plans. The Silver Packages provide limited storage and bandwidth, whereas the Gold Packages have unlimited storage and bandwidth.
All the hosting plans include these features as standard:
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Free domain
- Free website builder
- Free website transfer
- cPanel control panel
- Softaculous installer
The popular cPanel control panel provides a user-friendly management interface for full control of your files, FTP accounts, email accounts, and domains. The Softaculous one-click installer helps you install WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, PrestaShop, TYPO3, phpBB, and many more applications.
As an alternative to building a CMS-backed website, you can instead use the free website builder to create a website from scratch without having to code it. This website builder comes with numerous readymade website layout templates.
Pricing and Support

When it comes to pricing, there isn’t anything to say because all of OHosti’s services and plans come at a 100% free cost! This makes me wonder why there are different plans at all because, surely, everyone would simply choose the highest plan with the most resources.
Since I couldn’t help thinking there’s something suspicious here, I tried to contact customer services to clarify if there’s a catch. Unfortunately, the live chat wasn’t live when I wanted to try it, and my several ticket submissions seemed to fall on deaf ears. I tried resorting to self-support, only to find that the knowledge base contains only two entries.
