‘s Marko Velimirovic had the opportunity to speak with Kunal Kashyap, CEO of Backdroid. We talked about his beginnings, what is Backdroid and what services it offers, as well as how it differs from similar websites/companies.
Please present Backdroid to our audience.
We are BackDroid – a blog solely focusing on helping others use their devices with total convenience. We also believe in giving more than expected. Kunal Kashyap is the Founder of BackDroid.com, the blog worth more than $30000 per flippa and other portals.
Please describe the story behind the company: What sparked the idea, and how has it evolved so far?
‘s idea started in 2017 with a YouTube channel named “technical kashyap”, but with higher studies, things were left behind. So, in 2020 of May I thought about starting again, but this time with a website.
The Spark is always with me; my relatives used to ask me multiple queries about their devices and call me whenever they faced an issue on their smartphones. Being techy and a Problem solver, I used to solve it in 10-20 Minutes. I’ve been doing this since 2017.
Also, I’m in the startup field a lot, and my startups are listed on India’s Government website.
At the start of BackDroid.com, we tried many things, like lists of best apps or games. After the evolving face, we forced more on the How-Tos category. It gives me a sense of happiness when someone comments: “Thanks Kunal Kashyap, it worked for me.”
These are the comments which make me feel more encouraged and give me the motivation to write more content for backdroid.com.
What services do you offer?
We offer these categories (types of articles) on our blog.
- How-Tos and Tutorials.
- List of Best Apps and Games.
- Answering most asked questions on the internet.
How-tos and tutorials category is one of our favorite categories where most articles exist. However, we are more on the edge of creating a super valuable and informative article that helps users.
These three are my primary topics.
Who are your typical customers, and what do you think is the main challenge that your product solves for them?
My customers are people of all ages. With evolving technologies and app updates, there are more difficulties in doing specific tasks for these users.
Even when you encounter some issues, you might search on the internet to fix them, right? This is what we do.
We try to make the articles which are more user-centric.
For example, if you are facing an issue on Android where the phone is charging backward, the percentage starts decreasing. First, we try to ask the local service centers, and one of our team members has worked as a repairman in Samsung, Apple, and Honors service centers for 14 years. He tells us everything one can do to fix this.
So what we did is:
We replicated the problem on our own devices, and then used every single method to fix it. If we find a working method, we recommend it through our blogs. On the other hand, other websites just copy and rewrite the content in their own words from the website.
What separates you from other similar websites/companies?
We make articles solely for helping perspective, and there are competitors in the market who write for search engines. We write user-centric articles, including jokes, drama, imagination, and more.
Moreover, we include screenshots of every step, and shortly, we’ll make tutorial videos in every language spoken.
We believe in quality and quantity too, but one thing never to forget at backdroid.com is the excellent article, which feels like your brother is teaching you.
How do you envision the future of your industry?
We haven’t thought about it; for BackDroid, I would say an app for troubleshooting every single issue, so users must install it, and BackDroid would fix their problems.
And with the evolving technologies, people will face more problems, so we are preparing for it. Hopefully, BackDroid.com is the future proof. Fingers crossed.
