Headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria, ICDSoft started its journey in 2001. It offers shared hosting, WordPress hosting, Node.js hosting, VPS hosting (single site and managed), and a reseller program. ICDSoft also provides other web-related solutions, including website builders, SSL certificates, and domain services.
ICDSoft hosts over 50,000 active websites and has servers in Bulgaria (Sofia), Hong Kong, and the U.S. (Boston). Its information-packed website is polished, easy to navigate, available in English, and all prices are in U.S. dollars.
Features and Ease of Use
ICDSoft offers a total of three shared hosting plans – Economy, Business, and Business Plus. All three plans are available with U.S. and Europe servers, whereas the Hong Kong location only includes the Business and Business Plus packages.
Here are some key features that come as standard with all shared hosting packages:
- SSD storage
- Free daily backups
- Free SSL certificate
- Custom control panel
- Social media backup
- WordPress toolkit
- PHP, MySQL, Python, Perl, Ruby, and TCL
- Git, Cron Jobs, and SSH access
- Spam protection (for email)
The Economy package is the entry-level shared hosting plan, ideal for bloggers, small businesses, or portfolio websites. This plan includes 10 GB of SSD storage, 500 GB of monthly bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, and one hosted website.
While the Economy package seems a bit restrictive, the other shared hosting plans (Business and Business Plus) swing to the other extreme. These plans come with 30 GB to 100 GB of SSD storage, 1,000 GB to 10,000 GB of monthly bandwidth, and one hosted website.
What I like best about ICDSoft is the free daily backups with every shared hosting account for seven days. Many hosts make you pay for this essential security feature, so it’s nice to see daily backups included.
It also offers free site migration for the first 100 days of your hosting subscription and a handy cPanel Importer tool, allowing you to migrate an existing website from your previous hosting provider easily.
ICDSoft has developed an in-house control panel – vaguely reminiscent of cPanel – which enables you to manage every aspect of your hosting account easily. This control panel also supports two-factor authentication (2FA), which can be enabled or disabled at your discretion.
If you outgrow these plans, you can opt for ICDSoft’s managed VPS packages. You can also choose where your server is located – the U.S., Europe, or Hong Kong – but note that the resource allocations and prices may differ slightly.

Pricing and Support
ICDSoft has recently improved its resource allocations to meet different user needs and budgets. Its shared hosting prices vary from moderate to expensive upon renewal.
Although the company doesn’t include a free domain name with its shared hosting and managed VPS packages, you can get a free domain name with a single-site VPS hosting subscription. You also get a discounted rate and a generous 100-day money-back guarantee as well as renewal discounts.
The customer support at ICDSoft is worth mentioning. I was immediately greeted by a live chat representative when I visited the website. Even though the website is very informative, I asked the agent several generic questions and learned everything I needed.
In addition to the live chat, it has a 24/7 support ticket system and promises to answer support tickets within 15 minutes and email messages within an hour. Video tutorials, a comprehensive knowledgebase, and an FAQ section are also available. Over the years, its support team has answered over half a million questions with an average response time of seven minutes, which is impressive. There’s also extensive help documentation on its website.
