On the other hand, GoDaddy’s standard security features include DDoS protection, firewall setups, server hardening, and security audits.
Both hosts run CloudLinux OS on all Linux-based shared hosting servers. CloudLinux OS securely isolates your account to protect it against threats targeting others on the same server.
Both hosts offer free automatic daily backups, but only with higher-value plans.
As previously mentioned, HostPapa’s plans all come with a free CDN, while GoDaddy only includes a CDN with its WordPress hosting plans. A further advantage to a CDN is that it adds a layer of DDoS protection.

Despite its fewer years in the web hosting business, HostPapa defeated GoDaddy in all five categories. HostPapa has more affordable prices, more freebies with its plans, higher performance, better security measures, and helpful support.
