Both Byethost (managed by iFastNet, its parent company) and Hostinger offer a wide variety of hosting services. But this doesn’t mean they’re similar. There are certain key differences between the two that you need to know about to make a wise choice. To help you in this task, I tested both these web hosting providers in multiple categories. I found that Hostinger convincingly beats Byethost in this Hostinger vs. Byethost contest.

1. Plans and Pricing
Hostinger offers lower prices with long-term billing; the story’s not the same with Byethost
Hostinger offers shared, email, and WordPress hosting along with cloud hosting and VPS.
With Byethost, you’ll get free shared hosting and reseller hosting plus paid hosting solutions that include shared premium and ultimate hosting plans along with WHM reseller hosting, VPS, and dedicated servers.
Byethost’s premium shared hosting plans are more expensive than Hostinger with the starting plan costing almost 4 times more (provided you choose Byethost’s annual and Hostinger’s quadrennial term). Available billing cycles are monthly to annual with the annual term offering a 20% discount.
Hostinger’s shared hosting plans are billed monthly, annually, biennially, and quadrennially with the cheapest rates available with the longest term. But choosing the monthly term will make Hostinger’s plans pricier and you’ll also have to pay setup fee with the starting plan (unlike Byethost’s free setup).
Since there are no Byethost WordPress plans offered, you should choose Hostinger’s WordPress-optimized plans, if you need them. Hostinger gives you a 30-day money-back guarantee but Byethost offers no such guarantee.
Lower prices with long-term commitment along with a standard 30-day money-back guarantee instill confidence in Hostinger.
2. Features
Hostinger brings more advanced features; freebies galore with Byethost
Hostinger uses a custom-made hPanel along with auto-installer for installing 100+ scripts. To make website creation easy, it also offers a free (for a year) Zyro website builder.
With Byethost’s free plan, you’ll get 5GB disk space, unlimited monthly transfer, and 5 email addresses along with SSDs, Softaculous, and a website builder. Its paid plans come with cPanel, Softaculous auto-installer (for easy installation of 56 scripts), and a website builder. Both these providers use powerful SSDs and offer free SSL (except Hostinger’s starting plan).
However, Byethost free SSL certificate needs to be added via cPanel for the free plan.
While Byethost offers multiple free domains (1TLD plus 5-20 OO.GD domains), Hostinger’s free domain is available only with the annual or above terms of its business and premium plans.
Hostinger also offers several other advanced features like LSCaching, custom cache manager, DNS management, and free/paid Cloudflare CDN.
You can compare Hostinger and Byethost using this comparison table.

Though Byethost has better resource allocations and even offers several freebies, it’s outshined by Hostinger’s more advanced features.
3. Performance
Hostinger delivers exemplary performance; Byethost gets stuck at an average
Hostinger has multiple Tier-3 datacenters spread across 7 regions across the globe to deliver the lowest latency for your global customers. But Byethost uses a single datacenter in the U.K.
You’ll get fast-loading WordPress websites with Hostinger as it uses LiteSpeed-powered caching and custom-built advanced optimization. Hostinger also uses a completely automated bootstrap process for faster server deployment. It has SSDs that deliver much better performance compared to HDDs and Cloudflare CDN for faster page loading speeds.
Byethost’s premium plans use 24-core Intel Xeon multi-processor SSD servers while its business plans use Intel 8 CPU Xeon servers with PHP accelerator and FastCGI (for improved PHP application performance). It also uses ad-free load balancers on a clustered hosting network.
Hostinger backs up its 99.9% uptime guarantee SLA with a 5% monthly credit. My test website had exemplary loading speeds and uptime, whose details can be seen at this expert Hostinger review.
Byethost offers a 99.9% guaranteed uptime but its performance was average when tested. To know more about Byethost, you can check this detailed Byethost review.
4. Security
Security is serious business at Hostinger; not so much at Byethost
Hostinger employs rock-solid and comprehensive security measures. This means you’ll get the standard features like SSL, automatic backups, and spam and threat detection. But that’s not all. You’ll also get real-time reactive server monitoring, HTTP/2, DDoS attack protection, and Bitninja/Imunify360 on every server, among others.
Byethost offers SSL certificate, hotlink protection, SiteLock, and web firewall for its premium accounts. But not getting protection from brute force attacks, SQL injections, DDoS attacks, etc. is disappointing.
Byethost’s basic security fails to match Hostinger’s rock-solid and comprehensive security.
5. Support
Almost instantaneous support given by Hostinger; Byethost comes close though it’s not yet at the same level
Hostinger is popular for its superfast 24/7 support through ticket, live chat, and email (via an inquiry form). Ticket and live chat are available only for logged-in users though. To move you to the top of the queue, there’s a paid Priority Support too. However, not having phone support is a bit disappointing. I tested all three types of support and found each lightning-fast, which was both impressive and reassuring.

With Byethost, logged-in users will get 24/7 support via ticket. I used it and had a detailed reply within a few minutes. For self-help, both providers offer a blog. Additionally, while Hostinger has a knowledgebase and several tutorials, Byethost only has a community forum.

Hostinger’s support is exemplary and my experience reaffirmed it. As a result, it wins this round easily.
Hostinger Is a Web Host that’s Worth a Try For Sure
Hostinger offers loads of features (both free and paid) for a very reasonable price and has an exemplary performance that’s complemented by its superfast support and robust security. No wonder it beats Byethost in all the categories that both these web hosts were tested for. Therefore, I recommend Hostinger as my chosen web host. Even our in-house experts recommend it highly which is evident with its presence on our list of best web hosting services.
