XetHost’s website supports the English and Hungarian languages.
Features and Ease of Use
XetHost offers four shared hosting packages, six Linux VPS packages (including a configurable package), and ten dedicated server solutions (although the product page only shows six of them).
The shared hosting packages provide you with:
- 555 MB to 8,888 MB storage
- Unlimited traffic
- 2 to 50 SQL databases
- 3 to 50 FTP accounts
- 5 to 100 email addresses
- Daily backups
As per this web host’s own explanations (paraphrased), the Startup plan gets you started with your good idea, the Growing plan helps you conquer international markets, the Webshops plan lets you set up an online store, and the Photographers plan acts as an online photo book for your portfolio.
Unlimited traffic means you won’t need to worry about the number of visitors you get, and the SLA-backed 99.8% availability means you won’t need to worry (too much) about your website going down, although this is lower than the 99.9% industry average uptime.
The optional BackupMX service can be added at extra cost to help ensure your emails don’t get lost.
Pricing and Support
XetHost’s shared hosting packages are competitively priced, but there are some discrepancies between the website product pages and the online store pages. For example, the Startup package appears to be more expensive than it actually is, but I couldn’t get this clarified by customer services.
You can pay in U.S. dollars, euros, or Hungarian forints via PayPal, or you can buy with Bitcoins via CoinGate. Available billing cycles are monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual. The longer the commitment, the bigger the discount.
You can contact this company via email, a ticket system, two online contact forms, or live chat. However, I was unable to summon any pre-sales support. On the plus side, the self-support knowledge base isn’t too bad:
