WindowsVPS.Host Review 2024 – Is It Worth It?

Gwen Rodgers Gwen Rodgers Web Hosting Expert

True to its name, WindowsVPS.Host could be worth a look if you’re looking for a Windows VPS host. But if you’re looking for a shared hosting plan, you might be disappointed to discover that they’re all “out of stock.”

Screenshot 2019 09 28 at 14.36.20Web hosting company WindowsVPS.Host offers shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, and the related services you’ll need if you want to run a website, set up a game server, or create a hosting company. This host has data centers in the U.S.A. and Germany, where it deploys only enterprise-grade hardware. Its website is in English.

Features and Ease of Use

WindowsVPS.Host offers four shared hosting plans, 20 VPS plans (of various kinds), and five dedicated servers. The shared hosting plans are advertised as featuring:

  • Apache/LiteSpeed
  • 99.9% uptime guarantee
  • One to unlimited hosted domains
  • cPanel control panel
  • Unlimited SSD disk space
  • Unlimited bandwidth
  • Unlimited databases
  • Unlimited email accounts
  • Support for PHP 5.2.x to 7.0, Python, and Perl
  • Anti-spam and virus protection
  • Secure FTP access
  • Free daily backups

Other added-value features include a one-click WordPress installer, a free Let’s Encrypt SSL, and a free domain when to commit to an annual plan. The SSD storage is much faster and more reliable than traditional HDD storage.

The VPS plans utilize SSD and HDD storage in RAID configuration for better performance and reliability (including protection against potential disk data disasters). We ensure top-quality bandwidth, ensuring fast page loading speeds, and you have complete control of your server, including the ability to reboot and reinstall the operating system.

Pricing and Support

WindowsVPS.Host’s shared hosting plans are cheap. Theoretically, you can pay for them in U.S. dollars via PayPal or Bitcoins on monthly or annual billing cycles. I say “theoretically” because every one of the shared hosting plans was “out for stock” when I tried to purchase.

The VPS plans do appear to be purchasable, and these (along with the unavailable shared hosting plans) come with a 48-hour money-back guarantee, which is a very short refund window for shared hosting. You also get no refunds if a discount code has been used.

You can try contacting this company via live chat or support tickets. However, the live chat wasn’t available when I wanted to try it, and my test support ticket went unanswered. If you have to resort to self-support, you’ll be disappointed to find that the knowledge base contains only five entries:

How much does WindowsVPS.Host cost?

WindowsVPS.Host offers plans from $2 to $4. The price depends on which type of hosting plan you choose. You can see the updated pricing table (updated weekly) below.

Which WindowsVPS.Host plan should I get?

My recommendation is to start with a cheaper plan. You can always upgrade later on. WindowsVPS.Host can help you with the migration to a more expensive plan. The increase in visitors many times takes longer than expected and you shouldn’t pay a lot of money until the need arises. Of course, your needs may vary, and you can consult with a hosting expert from WindowsVPS.Host here.

How good is WindowsVPS.Host’s customer support?

WindowsVPS.Host is not ranked as one of our top web hosts. But that can also be a result of WindowsVPS.Host being a small, under the radar, hosting provider. There are advantages to a small hosting company – as a customer, you are more important to them. You can also check out our comparison of the most popular web hosting services here.

Probably the best VPS for the price, if you don’t mind a couple issues.

This service has its pros and cons. On the plus side, they offer the cheapest US-based Windows VPS's I could find anywhere (aside from one other place that got terrible reviews). The server is fast. I haven't had any issues yet with performance, so I don't think they over-commit resources. Support is fairly responsive (despite it being based out of Singapore). They aren't the most helpful (I got a lot of pat answers), but they never left me in a lurch. Seems like a good VPS for a great price. On the other hand, these servers were definitely used for SPAM in the past, and emails I send from my server go straight to Junk Mail on some email services and are blocked completely by Hotmail/Outlook (as in, the emails bounce back undeliverable because the IP is blacklisted). The server's Gateway is on multiple SPAM lists. As a result, I would have a hard time using this for a legit web server, since any emails sent from it might not make it to their destination. If you're using it for some other computing purpose, that probably wouldn't be an issue. Also, they don't offer any backup of any kind (even at an additional cost). You have to work out your own server config/file backups in the event of data loss.

Terrible experience

I have been a customer for over 6 months. I had payment issues for 2 days, and by the time it was resolved my service was terminated and all data was gone, according to the support there was no backup or nothing they could do. Terrible service, avoid them.

Reliable windows vps

Well, I was not sure about the company before purchasing and I gave it a try. To my surprise, the VPS they offer is very reliable and has good disk IO. The price is very cheap as well like $6 per month for 2GB RAM Windows VPS with windows license included is a pretty good deal. Totally worth it :).
