Thaitumweb Plus Company is a Thailand-based provider of hosting, colocation, domain registration, and SSL certificates. It serves its customers from two Thai data centers, and its website is in Thai.
Features and Ease of Use
Thaitumweb provides shared PHP hosting, VPS, and mail servers. It offers three shared hosting plans, allowing customers to host from one to ten domains, and you can resell the hosting on the top plan.
Shared hosting customers can enjoy the following features and resources:
- Over 99% uptime
- Free SSL
- One-click backups
- Up to 10 GB storage space
Beginners don’t get many benefits with this host. There is no one-click installer and no website builder, which may be because Thaitumweb offers website development and e-commerce store creation services.
You do get the DirectAdmin control panel and PHP support, but no support for Python programming.
Thaitumweb’s shared hosting provides enough resources (max 10 GB storage) for small to medium-sized websites, but large businesses or e-commerce companies with lots of products will have to look somewhere else. The VPS plans are not much better since they offer only 40 GB storage space.
Pricing and Support
The shared hosting is slightly expensive for the features on offer, and the VPS is costly too. Unless you’re looking specifically for a Thai host, you should probably widen your search. You do get a free SSL certificate, however, but no free domain.
Although you can pay for plans monthly, at the checkout you can get discounts of 2.5%, 5%, and 10% by choosing three-, six-, or twelve-month billing instead. Unfortunately, there is no money-back guarantee to make you feel better about making more than a monthly commitment.
You can contact Thaitumweb’s technical support team (not 24/7) via telephone or email, but not by ticket or live chat. I never received a response to my initial email, which wouldn’t be so bad if there were sufficient self-support resources, but there is no comprehensive knowledge base. That said, the FAQ page seems to be pretty helpful:
