SwissMade’s website is in English, but its client area can be switched into three additional languages.
Features and Ease of Use
SwissMade.Host offers five Linux and six Windows VPS packages, five cloud server packages, and 31 dedicated server packages (in six categories). You can upgrade your VPS package as your business grows, and you can also configure a custom cloud server to suit your requirements and budget. The Linux VPS packages provide you with:
- 40 GB to 160 GB storage
- 2,048 MB to 16,384 MB RAM
- 3 TB to 15 TB monthly bandwidth at 10 Gbps
All the VPS packages provide free DDoS protection (to guard against denial of service attacks) and IPv4 addresses. SwissMade’s dedicated server packages allow SSH access for complete control of your server.
Servers are housed in the Interxion™ Zürich data center that has ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 certification and operates according to the ITIL V3 framework.
Pricing and Support
SwissMade’s plans are cheap, and the 4% to 22% discounts (if you sign up for longer than a month) make them even less expensive. Although CHF, USD, and EUR are shown as potential payment currencies, customer services confirmed to me that you can only be billed in Swiss francs (CHF) which will be converted from your preferred currency. Payment methods include bank transfers, credit/debit cards, PayPal, and even some cryptocurrencies.
You can contact SwissMade’s 24/7 customer support team via live chat, email, ticket, or online contact form. I received a rapid reply via live chat:
Publicly available self-support resources seem to be limited to a blog, but this is not so unusual for a company that doesn’t do simple self-service shared hosting.
