Its servers are located in the United States for shared hosting. It also has servers in Canada, Europe, France, Romania, and the Netherlands. The website is in English.
Features and Ease of Use
PrewebHost offers three sets of shared hosting; Linux cPanel hosting, Linux SSD hosting, and Windows Plesk hosting. Each has three plans. You get the following with them:
- 99.9% uptime SLA
- Weekly automated backups
- Zero to unlimited add-on domains, depending on your plan
- Unlimited bandwidth
PrewebHost provides Attracta SEO tools in the cPanel. With this, you can get listed in the Attracta directory, scan malware, and improve your search ranking through numerous SEO tools like the XML sitemap creation and submission, and link building. It also provides SEO tips.
PrewebHost offers two beginner-friendly tools. Softaculous installer and RvSiteBuilder. With Softaculous, you can install a good number of applications and CMSes such as WordPress, Magento, and Joomla! with ease. You can also set up some plugins and configure backups with it as well.
RvSiteBuilder allows you to create your website with a drag-and-drop tool and over 300 website templates. It even has a tutorial guide that teaches you how to use the builder. If you’d rather develop your website from scratch, PrewebHost also supports PHP, Perl, Python, ASP.Net, and more.
Beware that the SSD plans have a storage limit whereas the other plans don’t. However, on the other plans, you’re limited by inode, to a limit of 150,000. Most websites don’t use more than 50,000, and many that get there are hosting more than one website on the account. So, that should cover most people.
Another thing that’s offered on the SSD plan that’s not on the other is the Cloudflare plugin. On the other plans, connecting your nameservers to Cloudflare will require more manual work from your profile unlike using the plugin.
Pricing and Support
PrewebHost offers low cost hosting with no hidden or set up fees, and you can pay month-to-month. If you’re willing to go for a year at least (on SSD), it claims that you will get a free domain registration. Be aware, though, that you’ll need purchase your SSL separately as it’s not included in the plan.
It offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, ensuring that you don’t lose your money if the service doesn’t meet your expectations. If you need a refund after those 30 days, it will refund you the money paid for the remaining unused months.
If you encounter issues while managing your website, you can look through the knowledge base for help. If you can’t find an answer there, the 24/7 customer service is available through live chat, email, Skype, and online ticketing system.
I used the live chat and although I got connected fast enough, I was left unattended for long periods.
