KVC Hosting is a U.S.-based web hosting provider that was founded in 2010. Their mission is to provide a hosting service that’s affordable for everyone, and they’ve been able to do just that, which has given them an excellent reputation in the industry. Their data center is located in Oklahoma, U.S.A but they serve clients from all over the world.

Features and Ease of Use

KVC Hosting offers a range of services to cater to a wide variety of clients, including beginner-friendly shared hosting, reseller hosting, business hosting, and dedicated servers. They also provide what they call “SEO hosting,” a rather unique offering in the industry. This features advanced SEO tools and consultations with their in-house SEO specialists. All SEO plans include:

  • cPanel 11 and WHM installations
  • Website builder
  • Unlimited space and bandwidth
  • Unlimited emails, FTP accounts, and MySQL databases
  • Softaculous app installer with 200+ scripts
  • Daily backups
  • DDoS protection up to 1Gbps

With these SEO hosting packages, you can choose anywhere from 10 to 600 A-, B-, or C-Class IPs. However,  the webpage outlining the specifics of these plans was rather confusing as it was organized with a dizzying array of choices, so it will take some time for you to get through it.

More noteworthy are their shared hosting plans, which are generously packed with features. Termed the “SSD Unlimited” category, they offer the following:

  • A minimum of 100GB disk space (can be increased to unlimited)
  • A minimum of 1TB bandwidth (can be increased to unlimited)
  • cPanel 11
  • A minimum of five add-on domains
  • Unlimited POP3 emails
  • Softaculous app installer
  • Dedicated IP address
  • RVsitebuilder with 2500+ templates

The dedicated IP address was a nice perk, as this generally comes with more premium paid hosting packages. Beginners will find the free website builder especially convenient to get their website up and running quickly.

Pricing and Support

True to their mission, KVC Hosting’s prices are extremely affordable across the board. Their entry-level shared SSD hosting packages can easily compete with bigger and more well-known hosting providers in pricing and features offered.

There’s no free plan available, but they do offer a 45-day money back guarantee on their shared hosting packages.

KVC Hosting’s customer support is highly responsive, patient, and helpful – they’re particularly adept at guiding beginners through the process of setting up the various aspects of their websites. They offer 24/7 support via live chat, phone, and a ticketing system, and they host an extensive knowledge base.

What’s unique about KVC Hosting is that they have an average a response time of under 15 minutes for support tickets, which is likely what has set them apart from many of their competitors. Live chat and phone are equally impressive, with average wait times of under a minute.

One possible downside of KVC Hosting is that they have had security issues in the past with many users reporting that their websites were hacked while hosted on KVC Hosting’s servers. It’s unclear whether this has been resolved, but given their propensity towards constantly improving their services, they may very well have done so.

How does KVC Hosting match up to the competition?

Good support

Had 2 sites with KVC for about 6 years now. Good value and any problems resolved quickly. My only issue is that there is almost too much 'tech' to play with that leaves me baffled. And I'm a former programmer! I previously had a 'free' email address that was closed down and was frustrating to have to re-organise my communication channels. For £10 a year or whatever I pay KVC to have my own domain gives me peace of mind.

Affordable and reliable, KVC Hosting has a well-earned reputation and is definitely worth your consideration. However, given their security issues in the past, enterprise-level businesses with demanding performance requirements may need to look elsewhere.

  • Affordable and feature-packed plans
  • “SEO hosting” a unique offering
  • 45-day money back guarantee
  • Responsive, patient, and knowledgeable support

  • Security may be an issue
  • Only one data center
