Features and Ease of Use
IPhoster sells a range of hosting services, from shared hosting and domain names to dedicated servers and VPS plans. The shared hosting plans provide the following features:
- Automated backups
- Free domain registration
- Up to 20 add-on domains
- SSL certificates (available for purchase)
- Up to 15 GB SSD storage
- Unlimited monthly bandwidth
IPhoster’s plans include several performance-enhancing features you get, including super-fast SSD storage and NVMe disks. The CloudLinux operating system keeps you isolated from (and unaffected by) other hosted users.
As your hosting control panel, you can choose between the popular cPanel, DirectAdmin, and ISPmanager panels, and the Installatron installer helps you install popular CMS software such as WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, and Magento.
Pricing and Support
For the level of performance-enhancing and other features, the prices are good value-for-money. But beware that the costs can increase when you start to add the myriad add-ons such as additional storage space and a dedicated IP address. To be fair, these things would usually cost extra with other hosts.
24/7 support is provided primarily by ticket, but a set of email addresses is also listed on the vendor website. There are a status page and a FAQ section, but where this host’s support shines (if at all) is its Wiki page.
How much does IPhoster cost?IPhoster offers plans from $1 to $25. The price depends on which type of hosting plan you choose. You can see the updated pricing table (updated weekly) below.
Which IPhoster plan should I get?My recommendation is to start with a cheaper plan. You can always upgrade later on. IPhoster can help you with the migration to a more expensive plan. The increase in visitors many times takes longer than expected and you shouldn’t pay a lot of money until the need arises. Of course, your needs may vary, and you can consult with a hosting expert from IPhoster here.
How good is IPhoster’s customer support?IPhoster is not ranked as one of our top web hosts. But that can also be a result of IPhoster being a small, under the radar, hosting provider. There are advantages to a small hosting company – as a customer, you are more important to them. You can also check out our comparison of the most popular web hosting services here.
