I wrote to them about a pricing discrepancy and that I was considering to change providers. The reply from Yan Ashton was unbelievable rude, "I can offer you to obtain your EPP key from the control panel and unlock the domain name so you can "change providers". By the way if you bother to check your invoices in your control panel you will see that the price is the same as last year... Not only that but it is the same rate for the past 10 years... As for the domain renewal rates, they have been the same for the past 6 years... So basically all your are saying is very far from the truth." Horrible customer service. Now there is no doubt I will change providers. I replied asking to speak to the manager. "Yan" replied "You are speaking to the general manager of the company in fact. There is no-one above me that you can speak to.". I found this odd. Why would the general manager be working the sales@ email address? I then went to the Freehostia home page and submitted a general request asking for the name of the head of the organization. It has been two days and still no reply at all. I am so done with them.

Why? For the chocolate package, you are pretty much limited when you only have 5gb of bandwidth, this number seems high in other hosting, but in FreeHostia almost everything you do will consume bandwidth from connect to FTP to connect to database, allowing only paid domains to use is understandable to prevent abuse this is normal I find it very good, the Email feature doesn't work at all in short it's best to use Byet
They think everyone living in the same time zone. they are taking money before the exact deadline, and giving me suggestions about I have to plan beforehand. they are very bad, getting money from my credit card and as soon as I contact with them no refund.. everyone not living at Europe
Too slowly and many free domains cannot be hosted:.co.cc, .vv.cc, .tk, .cf, .ga, .ml, .uni.me, .gq, .cu.cc, .co.vu, .men, .party, .click, .link, .work, .gdn. This is a very big scam on their part. So very bad hoster for your free sites. 200characters
I just want to say thanks to whoever runs this site, it's truly excellent, reliable, and the free option is great for hobbyists. Their control panel is very thorough and they have lots of add-ons and support available to users. I highly recommend them.
I am a non-technical person I was expecting good support who will guide me throughout and with any problem, and I received the same. So I am happy about it. They are excellent in terms of support like some other best like Blue host, Domain Racer, and Host gator considering the best support.
