EstNOC is a prominent Estonian data center and hosting solutions provider that operates from many global locations. The only downside for me is the lack of a pre-sales support response.

Overview

estnoc mainEstonian host EstNOC started providing services in 2010, since when it has supplied hosting solutions to customers in more than 30 countries. According to its English-language website, it has hosted more than 2,500 sites for more than 3,500 customers.

Features and Ease of Use

estnoc 1

EstNOC provides virtual and dedicated servers across Europe (twenty-eight locations), Asia (eight locations), the U.S.A. (six locations), and Canada (one location), plus colocation services (in two locations according to the shopping cart).

As an example, U.S.A. VPS packages provide you with:

  • 5 GB to 40 GB storage space
  • 512 GB to 4 TB monthly traffic
  • 512 MB to 4 GB RAM
  • 1 to 4 CPU cores
  • 1 IPv4 address, with IPv6 addresses on request

For all these packages apart from the minimal one, the storage space and monthly traffic are upgradable. Dedicated server packages also come with some configurable options that you can customize during the purchase process.

Virtual servers use KVM virtualization for performance, stability, and reliability. You can control them via the powerful web-based Virtualizor control panel that allows you to start, stop, restart, and manage your VPS.

Servers are available at 43 locations across the globe, so you could choose the closest location to your customers.

Pricing and Support

EstNOC

EstNOC’s U.S.A. VPS packages are cheap, and you can pay for them in euros (only) via various methods: credit cards, Alipay, MOLPay, OneCard, Perfect Money, POLi, SOFORT Banking, TrustPay, UnionPay, WebMoney, Yandex.Money, PayPal, and Bitcoin.

Billing cycles are monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual, with discounted prices on all billing cycles other than monthly. Note that the advertised low rates are for annual billing.

You get a 14-day money-back guarantee with reseller hosting packages, so you can review the services.

Although you can contact the company via various methods (telephone, ticket system, email, or live chat), I’m sorry to say that my exploratory email went unanswered. If you have to resort to self-support, you will find just 11 posts about networking in the knowledge base.

How much does EstNOC cost?
EstNOC offers multiple plans priced highest to lowest. The price depends on which type of hosting plan you choose. You can see the updated pricing table (updated weekly) below.
Which EstNOC plan should I get?
My recommendation is to start with a cheaper plan. You can always upgrade later on. EstNOC can help you with the migration to a more expensive plan. The increase in visitors many times takes longer than expected and you shouldn’t pay a lot of money until the need arises. Of course, your needs may vary, and you can consult with a hosting expert from EstNOC here.
How good is EstNOC’s customer support?
EstNOC is not ranked as one of our top web hosts. But that can also be a result of EstNOC being a small, under the radar, hosting provider. There are advantages to a small hosting company – as a customer, you are more important to them. You can also check out our comparison of the most popular web hosting services here.

This is the one you should never buy.

First, they don’t provide any tests or trials. And next, they don’t provide refunds if you don’t satisfy with it (find out their machine sucks). The uplink speed of the Japan VPS was never reached 50Mbit that they announced. The uplink speed can’t even reach 10% of their advertisement, you can only get under 0.5Mbit! Bloody hell! And you must know the way they reply ticket, they will yelling at you! I don’t know what would it be in Europe, but according to Japan’s local laws, it’s obviously a fraud. Honestly, I don't even want to give one star, it doesn't even worth 0.1 stars. Think twenty-five times before you buy it because you can buy a much better VPS and still can buy bottles of beer or a cup of coffee by that 10 euros.

Don't be Crazy

I paid for a base VPS server plan with Estnoc to trial their servers. After waiting 3 days waiting for a response to two support tickets I sent within a couple of hours of signing up to the service, request for information on how to upgrade my package (and 3 days later, not having an answer to such a simple question), the icing on the cake was this disgusting reply from the customer support staff, word for word, unaltered, unedited:"Please don't be cocky. you signed up for service 18.feb and today is 20feb. today I didn't answer this ticket earlier on purpose. if you scroll this ticket down. you see my answers in a few hours after you wrote something. but yet you come here and start playingkeyboard cowboy and demand some rights. sorry, won't happen. first of all, you talk nonsense about free cpanels and what so ever garbage. now, this. I already explained to you earlier in this ticket, that the most suitable package is XL for these vps. Yet you start mumbling something likethis "Are you going to tell me how to upgrade to the next most suitable package or do you not want my business?". wasn't it obviousthat I already told you that we have XL package specially built for webhosters. only thing you had to do, is to confirm, whether youwant to upgrade or not. so, hows it going to be? you want to order the upgrade from me to XL package and you install cpanel all by yourself and use your ownlicense?"Full screenshots of our exchange are available should anyone need clarification.Suffice to say, I canceled my service after 3 days of waiting. Use these mongrels at your own peril.

The server is not available for 20.5 hours now

My server in Japan is down for 20.5 hours. Support answered once with a question, and done nothing. The hours pass by, but the server is unavailable. All this happened during working hours too.I had another server which expired at 10/10/2019. They deleted the VM and I could not renew at the same day.

Bottom line on EstNOC

For cheap hosting from an Estonian host with a global presence, EstNOC could be well worth a look. However, I’d feel better if I’d been able to summon some kind of pre-sales support response.

Pros

  • 14-day money-back guarantee
  • 43 worldwide locations
  • Multiple payment methods
  • Discounted package prices

Cons

  • Only one currency accepted
  • Slightly dysfunctional website

Check out Estonia’s EstNOC for cheap hosting solutions.
