Founded in 2005, Duplika is based in Argentina and specializes in shared hosting, cloud hosting, WordPress hosting, reseller hosting, and domain registration. It’s website is well-organized and informative, but is only available in Spanish, even though the vendor has servers in U.S.A. and Germany.
Features and Ease of Use
Duplika offers a range of shared hosting price plans which differ in minor specifications, but all have several features in common. These features include the following:
- Free SSL certificates
- Automatic daily backups
- SSD storage
- DDoS protection
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
All plans come with cloudflare CDN for free and ready to use to improve your website’s accessibility, security, and overall performance. It can be easily activated from within the control panel. The website has tutorials on how to activate and use cloudflare.
All shared hosting plans come with a cPanel which allows you to manage all aspects of your website easily through its user-friendly interface. In case you need any help in using it, there are tutorials available on the website as well.
Backups are set automatically with all plans to take place on a daily basis. However you can adjust this frequency to your preferences, easily, through the control panel.
Pricing and Support
Duplika has four different shared hosting price plans: Start, Plus, Pro, and Onyx. The differences between them include storage, bandwidth, RAM, and CPU. Compared to the average market, Duplika’s prices can be considered slightly expensive, considering that I’ve come across other hosting providers that offer more features at lower prices.
For any plan you subscribe to, you can choose to be billed monthly, annually, biennially, or triennially. Payment options include credit cards, PayPal, bank transfer, and several others. When you first subscribe, there’s a 30-day money back guarantee.
The support section in Duplika’s website is actually not bad. It has some useful tutorials and an F.A.Q. section. Contacting the support team, on the other hand, can be considered a complete failure as they are non-responsive. I tried both submitting a support ticket and sending an email. After more than 48 hours I still didn’t get any reply. This is definitely a critical point that needs a lot of improvement.
