Features and Ease of Use
DraCoola Multimedia offers four personal hosting (Linux) packages that are available with a choice of two server locations – Indonesia, or the U.S. These plans come with the following features:
- Daily and weekly backup
- Instant account setup
- MySQL database 5.6.x
- MariaDB database
- cPanel 11.x
- Choice of six PHP versions (PHP5-PHP7)
- Softaculous auto installer with 350+ applications
- Unlimited subdomains, FTP accounts, and POP3 email accounts
- ClamAV antivirus
DraCoola Multimedia uses LiteSpeed Web Server that works much faster than Apache. The company also offers FFMpeg/FFMpeg-PHP tools integrated with PHP on its servers to help you convert, record, and stream audio and video files (in different formats) in real-time. Thanks to RVSkin made available by DraCoola Multimedia, you can beautify your cPanel with custom branding.
The company also offers GD and ImageMagick for image manipulation through Perl, PHP, and other programming languages.
DraCoola Multimedia’s personal hosting plans vary in terms of web space (200MB – 2500MB), monthly bandwidth (20GB – 250GB), and the number of addon domains (one – 25). If your website grows fast, however, and needs more than 2.5GB space, you’ll have to look for other hosting service providers. The company also offers three reseller hosting plans (available with both U.S. and Indonesia server locations). Its server uptime is 99.98%.
Pricing and Support
DraCoola Multimedia’s personal hosting plans are cheap. You can save further by opting for the yearly plans as they offer you two month’s price discount. The company’s Indonesia server packages cost more than the U.S. server packages. You can pay for them in IDR (Indonesian Rupiah) via PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Bank Mandiri, and BCA. The available billing periods are monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly.
The company offers a 14-day money-back guarantee after the hosting plan becomes active.
DraCoola Multimedia’s customer support can be reached via SMS, an email contact form, a Help Desk (for existing customers, who’ll need to log into their account), and live chat. Though the company also mentions support tickets, it redirects you to the email contact form. When I tried DraCoola Multimedia’s live chat, I was quick to reach the support staff. But after their prompt response to the first question, the wait time increased and I had to prod to get answers.
The company offers an “FAQ-Knowledge base” though it’s more like an FAQ section where you’ll find answers to several common questions. The company also offers you a demo member account, which you can use to test its cPanel and WHM control panels.
