Denit is one of the few Dutch cloud providers that’s both ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified. It offers a range of managed hosting and cloud solutions along with other services like load balancing, DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service), hybrid cloud, and hosted desktop, among others.
Denit is a small hosting company that simply isn’t a match for big brands like Hostinger. The bigger hosting companies simply offer a better price for similar configuration.
Denit’s journey started in 1999. Since then, it has been providing its clients with reliable and secure managed cloud solutions. This Amsterdam-based company with over fifty staff members on its roster has its own network and VMware cloud platforms. It’s VMware’s Enterprise Service Provider Partner and an active member of the Dutch Hosting Providers Association (DHPA). Denit aims to save big on hardware and power (up to 50%) with its complete server virtualization, thus playing its role to support the environment. Its DC2 datacenter is already supporting green hosting by utilizing 100% green power. The company’s website supports Dutch.
Features and Ease of Use
Apart from managed hosting, managed AWS, and managed security solutions, Denit also offers virtual and dedicated servers, virtual datacenter, private cloud, and twin datacenter services. It offers a bouquet of other solutions including hosted desktop, load balancing, DRaaS, collocation, hybrid cloud, SaaS hosting, fiber optic connection, caching, domain name registration and domain management, multi-CDN, and anti-DDoS protection.
With Denit’s managed hosting services, you will get complete outsourcing of your application’s software and system management. This means Denit acting as your hosting environment’s administrator and offering optimal guarantee of your online presence. With its managed hosting services, you will get
Support for both Linux and Windows OS
Unlimited data traffic
Setting up of your desired backup methods and intervals with automatic file storage
Active and direct interventions to resolve incidents , if any
Proactive technical advice
Incident reporting and analysis
Periodic maintenance of servers
24/7 proactive maintenance and monitoring
Periodic SLA reports
Unlimited service and support
Management of physical/virtual/hybrid servers
Based on your precise requirements, you can get a managed hosting solution tailor-made to fit your needs and pay accordingly instead of being force-fed with a cookie-cutter solution. Though Denit doesn’t offer any uptime guarantee, its network uptime is almost 100% since 2010 with an incredible consistency.
Pricing and Support
Unlike other managed cloud solution providers with rigid tariff plans, Denit encourages you to plan a free whiteboard session with its technical team to get customized solutions. During this session, the company’s experts will understand your technical and functional requirements to establish tangible goals for your online environment.
Though the company doesn’t offer any money-back guarantee, it does offer a free test server for four weeks.
You can reach Denit’s support staff via phone, email, or direct mail (which you can send via a website form). However, my email to them failed to elicit any response but obviously, I’m not entitled to 24/7 support as a non-customer. The company has two web forms – one for customer complaints, and another (Notice and Takedown) to submit a complaint (about copyright/trademark infringement, discriminatory statement etc) regarding materials offered by one of its customers. The company notifies the customers about larger maintenance on network/servers through their website as well.
Denit has a knowledgebase where you can find answers to many of your queries. Though it has a blog, it’s more news-heavy and doesn’t offer much in terms of self-help utilities.
