Datanes is a Turkish web hosting company. Its Turkish-language website sells domain services, shared hosting, reseller hosting, and virtual dedicated server (VDS) solutions.
Features and Ease of Use

Datanes’s basic web hosting plans, which are suitable for simple websites, provide you with:
- Free domain registration
- 500 MB to unlimited disk space
- Unlimited bandwidth
In common with most other hosting companies, Datanes lets you manage your hosting via the popular cPanel control panel. And like some other hosting companies, it improves performance by using the LiteSpeed webserver (which is faster than Apache) and SSD storage (which is far faster and more reliable than traditional HDD storage).
The underlying operating system is CloudLinux, which isolates you from the adverse effects of other hosted users. Furthermore, hosting plans provides DDoS protection to help manage traffic spikes without extra DDoS hardware.
The low-price VDS plans don’t use SSD storage, but they do use SAS storage rather than slower SATA storage.
Pricing and Support
Datanes offer some of the cheapest shared hosting plans I have seen; less expensive than similar offerings from almost all other web hosting providers. While this would usually mean sacrificing some speed and uptime, this is not necessarily the case with Datanes, and is probably not a problem for the small businesses it is targetting.
Although the renewal prices are higher than the starter prices, we ensure they remain consistently low. You can choose from four available billing periods: six months, one year, two years, or three years.
Support isn’t Datanes’s strongest suit. Although there is live chat, I couldn’t connect to an agent for hours. While current customers are encouraged to submit support tickets, pre-sales prospect customers can try the hard-to-find telephone, email, WhatsApp, and Skype contact channels:

If you have to resort to self-support, you’ll be disappointed to see that the knowledge base is bare.
