According to its Facebook page, Russian company Contell was established in 2018. It has a Tier 3 data center in Moscow that uses redundancy features.
Contell’s Russian-language website sells VPS/VDS, dedicated servers, cloud storage solutions, and associated services.
Features and Ease of Use
Contell offers four VPS/VDS plans, 29 dedicated servers, and several cloud storage plans. The company’s VPS/VDS plans provide you with:
- 1 to 8 CPUs
- 2 GB to 32 GB RAM
- 20 GB to 240 GB SSD storage
- 100 Mbps traffic
- DDoS protection
The virtual private servers (VPS) are based on KVM virtualization, and they come with 100% guaranteed resources (with no overselling). The hybrid cloud storage with SSD caching helps to deliver peak performance. You can choose from a wide variety of operating systems — e.g., CentOS, Windows, Debian, Ubuntu, FreeBSD, Gentoo — or upload your own ISO image.
VPS/VDS and dedicated servers allow you to scale your resources easily, and dedicated servers are enabled for remote server management.
Pricing and Support
Contell’s VPS plans start cheap but go on to become competitively priced. Available payment methods depend on your status (individual or legal entity), and they typically include bank transfer and credit card. You can pay in Russian rubles on monthly to annual billing cycles, with discounts of up to 15% for committing to more than a month.
This vendor’s website alludes to the ability to test your desired server configuration prior to purchase, but I couldn’t find out how long this test period lasts.
You should be able to summon 24/7 technical support by telephone, ticket, email, or live chat. I say “should” because, after registering an account, I submitted a support ticket, and… received no reply. It may be comforting to know that self-support resources include a help section (for logged-in users) and a blog:
