Features and Ease of Use
BlazingFast provides dedicated server plans and also allows potential customers to send details of their requirement so that it can build a custom quote for them. Its VPS are on powerful SSD with adequate security protection.
For the sake of this review, I’ll focus more on its shared hosting offers. The company offers three shared hosting plans that can handle medium-sized websites. Customers on its plans get the following:
- 99.95% uptime guarantee
- Nightly backup
- Unlimited hosted domains to each account
- 30GB, 60GB, or 120GB SSD
- Unlimited transfer
BlazingFast provides a Web Application Firewall (WAF). This inspects every web request coming into your website or application to check for SQL injection, cross-site scripting, application-specific attacks (such as brute force attacks on WordPress), and 400+ other types of attacks. It also protects your website or application against data theft.
WAF also has some DDoS protection features. BlazingFast has other anti-DDoS features in place as well that provide traffic filtering of up to 980Gbps of maximum load on the filters. Most DDoS attacks don’t get to that.
The company allows you to easily connect Anycast DNS to your website at any time. That speeds up the delivery of your website content to your visitors by routing your requests through the nearest intermediary node to the visitor, thereby reducing latency. Also, if one node fails or becomes overloaded, another can continue handling requests ensuring that there’s redundancy.
The shared servers are on KVM virtualization. This is a high-level technology that is only usually used on VPS. It isolates each individual in a virtual machine with its own dedicated CPU, RAM resources, isolated kernel, etc. Whatever other users on the same server with you do, it doesn’t affect your accounts – no security risk or overload of resources.
Pricing and Support
Given the high-level technology deployed on the shared servers, I expected the prices to be much higher than they are. The prices are low-cost, and unlike most hosting companies, this one allows you to pay on a weekly basis. Additional subscription periods available are one month, three months, six months, and twelve months.
BlazingFast provides a free trial for customers, but you’ll need to contact customer support to get your free trial. If you want to go straight ahead and pay, be aware that the money-back guarantee is only valid for seven days, which might not be enough time to assess the service.
Its VPS is low-cost and dedicated servers are more in line with the prices offered by competitors.
You can contact support agents through email, live chat, ticket, and phone., and its customer support works 24/7. If you want to solve issues yourself without contacting a support agent, you can search through the knowledge base for a solution.
I contacted the customer support via live chat and was able to reach an agent that answered all of my questions.
