Web Hosting Expert provides free and low-cost hosting plans powered by green (wind) energy. You can sign up to have your personal or small business website hosted, and save the planet at the same time

If you are in a hurry, and just want the bottom line: for the same price as you can get much better servers with 24/7 support with Hostinger, so why even bother?! is a green web hosting provider that offers free web hosting and low-priced VPS hosting along with free domains and cheap SSL. It has everything you need for your personal or very small business site.

This provider’s English language website doesn’t tell us anything about when it was founded, apart from the fact that it has been offering free web hosting services since 2003.

Features and Ease of Use offers three web hosting plans: Free, Personal, and Business. The “Free” free plan provides 1 GB disk space and 5 GB data transfer per month whereas the Personal and Business plans provide unlimited web space and bandwidth. All these plans offer:

  • No forced adverts
  • Web-based email
  • POP3, IMAP, and SMTP email access
  • Autoresponders
  • PHP 5 and PHP 7 support
  • Anti-spam and antivirus
  • CGI/Perl support with 3200+ Perl modules
  • nf control panel
  • Zacky website builder
  • Resource usage reports and traffic statistics
  • CMS (limited to Joomla on the Free plan)

You get a 99.9% uptime guarantee with the paid plans; lower with the free plan. While the free plan provides a free domain with a short extension, and the Zacky website builder, it otherwise has limited features.

Upgrading to a paid plan allows you to use advanced features including the Concrete5 website builder, Cron jobs (with the Business plan), one-click Drupal installation, MediaWiki, Moodle, and more. Paid plan customers can also use e-commerce tools such as osCommerce, Zen Cart, PrestaShop, and OpenCart.

Apart from its three web hosting plans, offers three VPS plans with root access (for complete server control) and the Xen Hypervisor (that lets each physical server run multiple virtual servers with custom configurations and operating systems).’s hosting operations are powered by 100% renewable green energy, which will be the most attractive feature for some customers. For others, the most attractive feature will (of course) be the free hosting for life.

Pricing and Support’s “Free” hosting plan is obviously free. It might not be sufficient for all your needs, but at least it provides a stepping stone to a paid plan, so you can try before you buy.

Even’s pay-for hosting plans are cheap, and you can save more by making a longer commitment of up to five years. Even if you opt for the minimum quarterly commitment, you’ll be pleased that the 30-day money-back guarantee should get you out if you’re not entirely satisfied within the first few weeks. You can pay for plans in U.S. dollars via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or PayPal.’s 24/7 customer support team can be contacted via live chat, online contact form, or ticket system. I received rapid responses when I tried the live chat support channel:

For self-support, you can refer to the basic FAQ page, and you can access additional support resources by logging into your control panel
