UPDF is a product dedicated to providing safe, convenient, cross-platform and high-efficiency PDF digital document all-round solutions for personal and enterprise users. Our products cover desktop (Windows, Mac), mobile (iOS, Android), tablet, and will cover the web in the future.
Please describe the story behind the company: What sparked the idea, and how has it evolved so far?
1) Background that inspires the idea:
a. Industry: In the past 10 years, the PDF software has maintained a compound annual growth rate of 35%, and the industry has great development prospects;
b. Users: Users’ acceptance of fixed-layout documents and market scenarios are becoming more and more popular, and fixed-layout documents have increasingly become an indispensable office document;
c. Pain points: The price of top competitors is high, the product experience is poor, and the user threshold is very high, forcing users to pay over-priced software or even choose crack software;
d. Trend: Under the influence of the Covid epidemic, “collaborative office” has increasingly become a rigid demand for office scenarios;
2), the current progress:
UPDF currently supports some functions such as PDF reading, PDF text and image editing, PDF annotating AI-powered OCR, format conversion and more on the desktop (Windows, Mac) and managing digital documents on the go on our mobile app(iOS, Android) for free. UPDF allows users to use our pdf functions at a lower cost but better performance. UPDF software interface is localized in 13 major languages in the world and made localized adaptation of the product, so that users can better understand and use the product. Since the launch, we have obtained more than 1 million registered users around the world.
What services do you offer?
Provide users with PDF tools including text editing, image editing, PDF convertering, PDF annotating, OCR, organizing PDF pages and more. The text editing is well-polished which supports accurate paragraph recognition, smart font matching, smart text typesetting, extremely fast rendering, and document security protection .

How do you envision the future of your industry?
At present, Adobe’s annual revenue in the pdf business has exceeded 2 billion US dollars, with a market share of more than 60%. We hope to reach 30% of the global market share in five years (that is, a revenue of 1 billion US dollars)
