Features and Ease of Use
Village Hosting solutions include the following standard features:
- SSD storage
- DDoS protected servers
- One-click installer
- Unlimited MySQL databases
- Unlimited FTP accounts
- Cron jobs
- Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate
- Free migration
Village Hosting hosting solutions run only on LiteSpeed powered SSD servers, which ensures that all of the websites it hosts record faster page loading speeds than traditional HDD servers. All its dedicated servers include full root access for easy and secure management including reboots and re-installation.
In addition, the hosting provider has deployed RAID protected servers that use AMD Quad (4) Core, AMD hexa (6) Core, AMD OPTERON 2210, and Dual xeon 5420. This all but guarantees high performance and reliability.
This vendor’s hosting solutions use the CloudLinux operating system to improve server density and security by isolating each user and supplying their website with the server resources allocated to them.
While the vendor also provides backup solutions as well as data protection and security, it says little about them to give potential customers a clear picture of what these solutions look like. All the same, the firm also offers SSL certificates as an additional service to its clients. Available certificates include: Symantec, Thawte, GeoTrust, Comodo, and RapidSSL.
Pricing and Support
Village Hosting hosting plans are quite cheap. The vendor offers its clients flexible billing cycles for all its hosting solutions. It also provides free website migration for every hosting plan purchased. Moreover, the vendor offers a 31-day 100% money-back guarantee and a 99.99% network uptime guarantee.
The hosting provider has provided a phone number, support email, and live chat for its clients to reach their support team. Unfortunately, they do not have a ticketing system. The vendor claims to offer 24/7 support, but my attempts to initiate a live chat with their support representatives were unsuccessful. As a result, I opted to contact them via email, but I never received a response.
The Village Hosting website does not have a knowledge base, either.
