Riosecoweb is a Spanish hosting provider that offers SSD powered hosting solutions. However, its expensive prices don’t match its basic price offering and the unresponsive customer support team is a big letdown.

Overview

Riosecoweb

Based in Spain, Riosecoweb is a web hosting company that was founded in 2005. Today it offers SSD shared hosting, WordPress hosting, VPS hosting, domain registration, web design, and other web-related products. Even though the company is based in Spain, all its servers are located in France.

The Riosecoweb website can be viewed only in Spanish. Despite its user-friendly layout, the website is slightly limited in information. All prices are displayed in euros.

Features and Ease of Use

There are four main shared hosting price plans offered by Riosecoweb – Basic Hosting, Medium Hosting, Expert Hosting, and Professional Hosting. The plans mainly differ in storage, monthly bandwidth, and MySQL databases among other minor differences. However, the specifications offered in the plans are rather limited compared to a lot of the hosting providers I’ve reviewed.

On a brighter note, all plans share a common set of features including the following:

  • cPanel
  • SSD storage
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Free domain
  • Automated regular backups
  • IPv6 supported

All services offered by Riosecoweb are backed by SSD storage which performs much faster than the regular HDD storage giving a boost to the overall performance of your website and increases the accessibility of the website.

I’m pleased to see cPanel included with all hosting packages. Popular for both its wide range of built-in tools and its ease of use, the cPanel’s highly user-friendly management interface allows you to control all aspects of your website including managing domains, website files, databases, backup intervals, and much more.

Additionally, Cron is a great time-saving tool that automatically executes your website’s tasks in a periodic manner. Instead of having to execute each and every task yourself at its specified time, all you need to do is input all the tasks in the tool and set the time at which you require the task to take place and leave the rest to Cron jobs.

If your website is too large for these plans or requires higher resource allocations, you can always go with one of Riosecoweb’s VPS hosting plans.

Pricing and Support

Given Riosecoweb’s barebone features and specifications, the prices are shockingly expensive compared to its competitors. All plans are available on monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual contracts.

Most of Riosecoweb’s services are backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee and the only accepted payment method is via credit/debit cards.

Unfortunately, the Knowledgebase on the website is empty and the FAQ section contains only one article, which is ridiculously useless.

Riosecoweb

You can get in touch with the customer support team through phone, support ticket, and email. Since I had a few questions to ask, I tested the two online channels. Sadly, it’s been more than 24 hours and still no answer.

On the upside, remote support via TeamViewer is available for its current clients.

Bottom line on Riosecoweb

Even though Riosecoweb has been in the market for 15 years, it still has a long way to go in order to compete with the leading providers in the hosting industry due to its pricey plans and limited options.

Pros:

  • SSD storage
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Free domain
  • 30-day money-back guarantee

Cons:

  • Unresponsive customer support
  • Limited website
