MMD Networks offers a range of website hosting services including shared hosting, virtual private servers, SSL certificates, and domain registration. It also offers a selection of website solutions such as website design and digital marketing services.
The shared hosting plans include the following features:

MMD Networks owns its own server center in Finland, which means a faster response time to issues and faster website load speeds than companies that simply collocate their servers. While there is not a lot of information about the data center, it meets the standards of the Finland regulatory board FICORA and has 24/7 on-site engineers to ensure fast response time to technical issues.
For beginners, there is a one-click installer, although it’s not clear for how many programs, and for more advanced users, support is available for PHP and Perl, as well as FTP and SFTP access. All plans come with visitor statistics, which is a useful feature for beginners who don’t fancy getting set up with Google Analytics.
Unfortunately, the website is very limited and there is no detailed information about the data centers or packages. It’s unclear what the uptime guarantee is, if any, or what quality the infrastructure is.
Pricing and Support
There are only two options for shared hosting packages available, which both include 10GB of disk space and unlimited traffic. The prices are high compared to international companies, however, inline with the general expectation in Finland. There are a couple of caveats. First, unlimited traffic is only ever unlimited to the extent of normal usage, and second, SSL certificates are an added cost but domain registration is free of charge for one year.
Upon checkout, you can purchase website hosting in three, six, twelve, twenty-four, or thirty-six month terms, but there’s no discount for purchasing a longer term. There is also no money-back guarantee, free trial, or free plan. These terms are a little strict and mean the minimum trial period is a three month term.
Customer support is by email, phone, and ticket between the hours of 8:30 a.m and 4:30 p.m. There is an FAQ section on the website, however, there’s no detailed knowledge base, unless there is more information available to logged in users. Ideally, I would prefer to see some form of instant messaging system e.g., live chat or social media. That said, they do answer emails quickly and in a helpful manner and have an average response time of 9.17 seconds, according to the website.
