MassiveGRID “supposedly” turns high-availability services from a pricey luxury to a cost-efficient necessity, but on the flip side, its offerings are not the cheapest in the market. It also lacks a variety of standard web hosting solutions and there are no shared or reseller hosting services.

Overview

MassiveGRID Overview

MassiveGRID has a track record of 15+ years offering fully customized and streamlined IT infrastructure services to companies across the globe.

With its mission of turning high availability services from a pricey luxury to a cost-efficient necessity, the company has given developers and software companies a peace-of-mind experience, while also providing them with what they need to host their applications.

Features and Ease of Use

MassiveGRID’s high availability cloud offerings include the following standard features:

  • MySQL database servers
  • Proven uptime record of 99.9999% uptime guarantee
  • Fully redundant architecture
  • Unmatched 24/7 technical support

Its two web hosting packages- Kubernetes web hosting and Magento web hosting– each come with distinguishing resources to help serve your purpose. Kubernetes hosting comes in a production-ready, developer-friendly environment with flexibility and automatic scaling.

On the other hand, Magento web hosting helps users launch their store quickly and the solution runs a complex, container-based failover topology. The plans also include MySQL database clusters, Nginx PHP, and varnish technology.

All of its hosting solutions are powered by Tier IV certified data centers and users can choose to deploy their IT infrastructure on worldwide Equinix data centers.  For cloud servers and dedicated servers, you can choose four locations: New York, London, Frankfurt, and Singapore.

Backups are not free by default, and users will have to purchase them as add-ons from the vendor. The good thing is that they come with R1Soft agent to ensure the sustainability of all your data continuously.

Pricing and Support

MassiveGRID’s monthly prices are quite expensive, which seems to contradict its mission statement. The prices are offered in U.S. dollars and with dedicated servers, it is easy to configure your server specs to suit your needs.

Although most of the plans start with monthly billing cycles, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual billing cycles are available too and will attract anywhere from 5% to 20% off.

There is a 14-day free trial for web hosting solutions, and for over 15 years, the hosting company has had a proven uptime record of 99.9999% (that equates to just 2.6 seconds of downtime per month).
