Jump.BG Review 2024 – Is It Worth It?

While Delta.BG focuses on services aimed primarily at IT companies and corporate clients with specific requirements, Jump.BG offers a wide range of hosting services – domains, web hosting solutions, virtual and dedicated servers, standard hosting packages, as well as individual configurations.

The variety of hosting solutions and the possibility for personalization and individual adjustment of the plans make it easy to find the right solution for your project. Jump.BG manages servers in two different places around the world – Sofia, Bulgaria, and Frankfurt, Germany, making it ideal if your target audience is located in Europe.

Jump.BG has hosting packages for all types of websites, and the number of resources you receive increases with the price. None of the packages offer unlimited storage space. With 5GB of disk space, the smallest hosting package can cover the needs of a small static website.

Jump.BG provides a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate for each of its hosting packages. You can install it yourself or ask the team to do it for you. SSL certificates provide secure transfer of information between the visitor of your website and the server and are a necessary addition for anyone who wants to manage an online store and receive payments.

After Google announced that SSL-protected sites would rank better, you can’t afford to be without an SSL certificate – yet some hosts still charge for them!

As an additional add-on for users who want to use WordPress, Jump.BG offers free installation and a wide selection of templates.

Problem-free setup

Jump.BG’s website looks modern and easy to navigate. There’s a full comparison table for hosting plans so you can see at-a-glance which plan is right for you.

After signup, you’ll get a detailed email from Jump.BG, which includes detailed information with cPanel login details, server information, FTP address and settings, as well as mail settings and webmail access address.

You get cPanel for managing your website, and the Softaculous installer enables easy installation of applications of all kinds, the most popular being WordPress, Joomla, phpBB, PrestaShop. There were no problems in creating the test website and the whole process went smoothly from inquiring about the terms of the hosting plans to launching the website.

Perfect availability and excellent page-loading speeds

I built a website to see how Jump.BG performed and tested it using two different tools – UptimeRobot to evaluate the uptime/reliability of the host servers and GTmetrix to look at page loading speeds.

UptimeRobot

Although I only tested for a few days, my test website with Jump.BG had a perfect uptime score of 100% – you literally can’t get better than that!

GTmetrix

When I tested the website with GTmetrix, the PageSpeed score, which measures how well your website is optimized, was an impressive 88% without any optimization. The page loading speed was also excellent, at 0.8 seconds, thanks to Jump.BG’s LiteSpeed servers. With the use of an optimization plugin for WordPress, the results could be even more impressive.

Quick response times and helpful agents

You can contact Jump.BG by phone, e-mail and through the contact form published on its website. In its Terms of Use, Jump.BG promises to respond to your first request within 15 minutes and the company keeps its promise! 

The technical support was very quick in responding, and they never took more than ten minutes to reply. They provided comprehensive information and resolved issues quickly – which is great since so many hosts just send you links to tutorials when you ask for help!

It would be useful if there was a live chat option, but since the response time is very short, this isn’t a big issue.

If you prefer to try to solve issues yourself, there is a knowledge base that contains answers and tutorials for some common questions.

Affordable Prices

A variety of hosting plans are available, and you can choose from an extensive range of billing cycles: 1, 3 and 6 months, as well as for 1, 2, 3 years. There’s one exception to this – the cheapest plan can only be purchased on an annual basis.

Discounts vary according to the length of the plan you purchase. Jump.BG also offers a free domain on some of its plans, but only when you sign up for a year or more (and you can’t choose a .bg domain for free, either.)

The prices of the domains with standard extensions are competitive, but for .bg domains, you may be better looking on third-party websites as Jump.BG’s prices for .bg domains were quite high when I last checked.

Cancellation

There’s a 30-day money-back guarantee period with all plans – but only when you sign up for three months or more. You can get a full refund for hosting only (not domains or any other additional services) – but no refunds are issued after the first 30 days.
