Greece-based IntraWeb uses European servers to provide SSD shared and cloud hosting solutions with a CDN included

Overview

IntraWeb

If you are in a hurry, and just want the bottom line: for the same price as IntraWeb you can get much better servers with 24/7 support with Hostinger, so why even bother?!

Greek web hosting company IntraWeb provides shared SSD and advanced cloud SSD hosting along with domain registration and website design services. The Tier 3 data center it uses is the second largest in Europe, and it allows IntraWeb to offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee.

IntraWeb’s website is in Greek.

Features and Ease of Use

intraweb 1

IntraWeb offers shared hosting and advanced cloud hosting solutions, both of which use SSD drives. The Cloudflare CDN ensures fast website loading, and HTTP/2 is supported. All hosting plans come with unlimited disk space and unlimited bandwidth.

IntraWeb’s entry-level plan provides one website and three MySQL databases, but no free domain. The next two tiers include a free domain and unlimited MySQL databases.

All plans feature:

  • SSD storage
  • SSL
  • Cloudflare CDN
  • Unlimited disk space
  • Unlimited bandwidth
  • 24/7 customer support
  • cPanel control panel
  • Free website builder
  • 30-day money-back guarantee

As already mentioned, the Cloudflare CDN caches data near to your website visitors for faster page loading speeds, and it also provides protection against DDoS attacks.

Intraweb also offers three levels of SSD cloud hosting, with the starter cloud hosting plan including 100 GB storage, 3 GB RAM, two dedicated CPUs, and NGINX web server. You get a free domain with cloud hosting, plus many of the same features as the shared hosting, i.e., SSL, cPanel, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Pricing and Support

IntraWeb

IntraWeb’s shared hosting plans are priced very competitively. The entry-level plan costs less than the cost of a cappuccino per month and is cheaper than many top European and international web hosts for similar data allowances and features. Don’t forget that IntraWeb’s value-added features – including SSD drives, Cloudflare CDN, and unlimited storage and bandwidth – make its plans even more competitive.

Except for the entry-level plan, shared plans come with a free domain for two years, and all plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee to get you out of your commitment if anything goes wrong. At the time of this review, new customers could get a 30% discount for switching from another provider.

Cloud hosting plans start at around 30% less than similar plans provided by other European cloud hosts.

24/7 customer support is provided by telephone, live chat, and email. The first time I tried, I found that the live chat was unresponsive, and my subsequent email was returned to me as undeliverable (no such person at that address). This had me worried, but since the modern look of IntraWeb’s website suggested it was still very much in business, I tried the chat again. I only got as far as garnering an initial response, but it was good enough for me.

It’s a good thing that I got a response from customer services because this provider’s self-support knowledge base is not worth writing about. So I won’t.

A Free Domain is included when purchasing any hosting service from IntraWeb

Bottom line on IntraWeb

Greek web hosting provider IntraWeb offers feature-rich, competitively priced shared and cloud hosting plans. Performance features include SSD, Cloudflare CDN, and unlimited bandwidth and storage. Except for the entry-level plan, shared hosting comes with a free domain.

Before you make a decision, we highly recommend you check out some alternative hosting companies, which we highly recommend.
