HostUp holds up very well as a relatively recent entrant to the hosting market. It offers SSD-based shared, WordPress, and VPS hosting at affordable prices backed by satisfactory support.

Overview

HostUpLaunched in January 2019, HostUp is a very recent entrant to the hosting market. This Wyoming-based hosting provider is looking to make a splash in the market with its shared, VPS, and WordPress hosting packages (plus domain registration). Its fully-owned servers sit in Amsterdam’s Voxility data center.

HostUp’s English-language website has a very sleek and clean design that’s easy to navigate, and it displays prices in U.S. dollars.

Features and Ease of Use

HostUp’s SSD shared hosting packages are offered at three levels — Starter, Business, and Unlimited — which differ in disk space and the number of hosted websites. The smallest plan provides 10 GB of web space and allows you to host one website. The largest plan provides you with 30 GB of disk space and unlimited hosted websites.

The hosting plans provide these features:

  • Unlimited traffic
  • Unlimited email addresses
  • PHP 5.6 to 7.3
  • Free SSL
  • Virus scanner
  • cPanel control panel
  • Website builder
  • DDoS protection

HostUp doesn’t hold up too badly when it comes to user-friendly features. The popular cPanel control panel integrates the Softaculous app installer for hundreds of CMS and other software programs such as Joomla, WordPress, and Drupal. Furthermore, the free site builder helps you create a professional website without having to hire an expert.

If you do want some additional help with your website hosting, you could consider HostUp’s managed WordPress hosting offerings. The three WordPress hosting plans provide a maximum of 30 GB of disk space plus 100,000 monthly visitors and unlimited hosted websites. You also get protection against attacks and access to automatic WordPress updates.

If shared hosting is insufficient for your needs, you might benefit from one of the VPS packages that provide up to 15 TB of bandwidth, 32 GB of RAM, and 200 GB of disk space. You also get full root access and DDoS protection.

HostUp uses SSD storage that is faster and more reliable than traditional HDD storage. When it comes to reliability, this vendor guarantees near-100% network uptime.

Pricing and Support

With its low prices and reliable features, HostUp could be a good choice for individuals and small businesses looking to set up a web presence. If you already have a web presence with another host, HostUp will migrate your existing website for free.

You can pay for plans using PayPal, credit cards, or Bitcoins, and the very generous 45-day money-back guarantee gives you plenty of time to decide if this really is the host for you.

You can contact this company’s 24/7 support team via live chat, email, its ticket system, or various social media channels. The live chat agent I spoke to was friendly and knowledgable:

For self-support, HostUp’s blog contains some useful tutorials.

How much does HostUp cost?
HostUp offers plans from $2 to $4. The price depends on which type of hosting plan you choose. You can see the updated pricing table (updated weekly) below.
Which HostUp plan should I get?
My recommendation is to start with a cheaper plan. You can always upgrade later on. HostUp can help you with the migration to a more expensive plan. The increase in visitors many times takes longer than expected and you shouldn’t pay a lot of money until the need arises. Of course, your needs may vary, and you can consult with a hosting expert from HostUp here.
How good is HostUp’s customer support?
HostUp is not ranked as one of our top web hosts. But that can also be a result of HostUp being a small, under the radar, hosting provider. There are advantages to a small hosting company – as a customer, you are more important to them. You can also check out our comparison of the most popular web hosting services here.

Host Up: Damn

Seriously could not recommend a better service. The speed of response is fast, and they create great guides if you need it. The information both Davids gives is amazing. They will help you with anything. Even if you are a single person, they'll chat you up to make you feel less lonely.

Does what its supposed to for a good price.

It is cheap, (as in price, not as in quality). It's online when I want it to be and support exists. What more does one want? They actually listen to feedback. I love the panel and how one can simply reset the whole OS in case something breaks badly.

VPS HOSTING

David was super knowledgeable and helped me set up my VPS very quickly. There has been zero downtime and my website speeds are super fast. I really appreciated his attentiveness and patience with me. I plan on using their services for a long time!

Bottom line on HostUp

For a relatively hosting new provider, HostUp holds up pretty well by providing all the necessary resources for building a web presence. Its prices are very affordable, and its customer support is highly responsive.

Pros

  • Near 100% uptime SLA
  • 45-day money-back guarantee
  • SSD storage
  • 24/7 live chat

Cons

  • No Windows shared hosting
  • No telephone support

Check out the new kid on the hosting block, HostUp.
