HostRush is a U.S.-based hosting provider that was founded in 2012. It has servers in Dallas, Texas and is headquartered in Buffalo, New York. It specializes in shared hosting, VPS hosting, reseller hosting, WordPress hosting, dedicated servers, and domain registration.
The website is available in English and has a simple design, but very informative.
Features and Ease of Use
HostRush offers three categories of shared hosting services: Web Hosting, Unlimited Hosting, and Business Web Hosting. Each category has its own range of price plans. The most noticeable difference among the categories and their packages is the disk space.
There are three Web Hosting packages: RushBasic, Rush-1, and Rush-2. The disk space here ranges from 12 GB up to 40 GB.
The Unlimited Hosting plans are two: Unlimited-1 and Unlimited-2. Their disk spaces are 30 GB and 40 GB respectively.
Like the Unlimited Hosting, there are two Business Web Hosting plans: BusinessRush-1 and BusinessRush-2 and their disk spaces are 16 GB and 20 GB respectively.
Most of the other features are common among all categories and plans such as:
- SSD storage
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Free SSL certificate (with all Web Hosting Plans only)
- Daily backups
- Site builder
Choosing the right category depends on the size of your website and its requirements. However, all plans come with the user-friendly cPanel. Using its user-friendly management interface, you’ll have full and easy control over all your website’s aspects including adding/removing email accounts, domains, etc. You can also adjust how frequently your website backups take place.
Softaculous CMS installer comes as a built-in feature within the cPanel. It allows you to easily install all your required CMS applications through a single-click process. The applications provided include WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop, Magento, and more.
In addition, you can make use of Cron Jobs to easily schedule the required tasks on the website so that they are performed periodically. This is great, especially for repetitive tasks on the website and so in this case you won’t have to undergo them yourself. Just configure them within Cron Jobs and leave the rest to it.
Pricing and Support
With any plan you opt for, you can choose to be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually. With the annual billing cycle the average monthly cost is the least of them all. In comparison with the U.S. market, HostRush’s prices are quite attractive.
When choosing the quarterly or annual billing cycle you get a 75-day money-back guarantee. However, if you choose the monthly billing cycle you get a 30-day money-back guarantee which is pretty generous for a monthly subscription. You can pay via credit/debit cards or PayPal.
I would have preferred if HostRush’s support was as good as its prices and feature, but I was disappointed. First off, the Knowledgebase is completely empty; no tutorials, no FAQ, nothing. You can contact customer support via email, support ticket, or phone. However, this was another dead end for me as when I sent in my questions, and after waiting more than 24 hours, I got no answer.
