Corelux brings together a small team of web developers, system administrators, and graphic designers to provide solid web hosting solutions to their customer base in Europe. Their portfolio of services includes Linux and Windows shared hosting, virtual dedicated servers, and dedicated hosting. All their shared hosting plans include the following features:
- Daily backups
- Unlimited emails
- Unlimited subdomains
- 24/7 FTP access
- Daily website statistics
- cPanel or Plesk, available in Turkish
- Custom error pages
- Folder encryption
- Servers based in Turkey
They don’t appear to have an uptime guarantee, unfortunately. I was particularly impressed by the following features while reviewing the Corelux web hosting plans:
- High-availability equipment – Corelux is committed to ensuring that all their web servers are high-availability. They do this by keeping their equipment up to date and using powerful, state-of-the-art servers and facilities.
- Instant activation – Corelux offers new customers instant activation for all their hosting plans. As soon as your web hosting order is received, you can start using the plan you have purchased. The company sends the necessary information immediately to your email address.
- Free migration – Corelux offers free website migration services for all their plans. All migrations must happen between equal control panels and other versions of the control panel where migration is possible, e.g., WHM to WHM, DirectAdmin to DirectAdmin, or Plesk 9 to Plesk 11.
Pricing and Support
For the resources they offer, Corelux’s web hosting plans are actually priced a bit on the higher end for the European market. I will note, however, that their Linux plans are priced the same as their Windows plans, which is a plus for those looking for Windows hosting — most vendors would price their Windows plans higher.
All of their plans are only available on an annual basis and priced in Turkish Lira. Corelux also offers domain name registration services and SSL certificates.
Corelux’s hosting solutions are backed by a small but competent support team that can be reached through live chat, over the phone, email, the contact form on their website, or through social media. Their support isn’t 24/7, however, which is unsurprising considering the size of their company. This vendor has no ticket support system. It was also somewhat disappointing to discover that the company has no knowledge base or FAQ where customers can find solutions without waiting on their support team. That said, their support team responded to my queries fairly quickly and adequately addressed the issues I’d raised.
