Brickell Host is a relatively new hosting provider that was launched in 2019. It’s based in the USA and specializes in shared hosting, WordPress hosting, reseller hosting, and domain registration. It also offers VPS hosting. Its data centers are located in the USA and the Netherlands, with servers in the UK, Japan, Singapore, Korea, and Australia for VPS hosting.
The Brickell Host website enjoys a simple layout, yet is quite informative. It’s available only in English and all prices are displayed in US. dollars.
Features and Ease of Use
There are three shared hosting plans offered by Brickell Host – Lite, Pro, and Premium. They mainly vary in storage space. All plans come with unlimited monthly bandwidth as well as the following features:
- cPanel control panel
- Softaculous auto-installer
- SSD storage
- Free domain
- Free SSL certificates
- DDoS protection
- 99.99% uptime guarantee
- Free website builder
- Free daily backups
- Free website migration
- LiteSpeed servers with LSCache
- Automatic malware scanning
In addition to these features, the Pro and Premium plans also come with free Cloudflare CDN, the ability to host unlimited websites, and Imunify360 protection. The servers use CloudLinuxOS that enables each hosting account to be contained separately from other accounts on the same server, meaning your website won’t be affected if another site on the shared server has sudden traffic spikes.
All plans come with a free user-friendly website builder that has hundreds of ready-made website layout templates. With a simple drag-and-drop procedure, you can build your entire website layout from scratch without needing a professional website designer.
A free cPanel license is also included with all three plans. Through cPanel’s highly intuitive management interface, you can easily manage all aspects of your website including the website files, domains, FTP accounts, backup intervals, and much more.
The Softaculous auto-installer is one of the many useful tools that come within the cPanel control panel. Softaculous is well-known among hosts for both its ease-of-use and the hundreds of supported applications and scripts. These include WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, and many more. Installing these applications is as easy as downloading and installing an application from the app store of your smartphone. You can also activate the WordPress toolkit from within Softaculous, so you can set up automatic updates for WordPress core, plugins, and themes.
One thing I really like about Brickell Host is that the free SSL certificates that come with each plan are automatically installed once you sign up – you don’t even need to click a button to activate your SSL.
Another standout feature with Brickell Host is that the free daily backups are powered by Acronis’ Cloud Backup platform, and there’s a simple 1-click restore feature, too. In addition, there are daily and weekly off-site backups that add an extra level of security and peace of mind!
Brickell Host’s Cloud VPS plans are (obviously) more expensive than shared hosting, but they benefit from full root access, IPV4 & IPV6 Support, and full Cpanel migration from other hosting providers. A huge bonus with Brickell Host’s VPS hosting is that 5 cPanel accounts are included with any plan (since cPanel started charging hosts for licenses, some hosts only offer cPanel as an optional add-on). In addition, each plan includes dedicated IP addresses, so you don’t have to worry about IP address blacklisting issues. One downside, however, is that you can’t upgrade to a VPS plan with more resources – you have to deploy a new server and have Brickell Host migrate your cPanel and files to the new server. You can’t customize your cloud VPS server’s resources, OS and control panel, either.

Pricing and Support
Brickell Host’s prices are fairly standard compared to other similar hosts. That being said, there are several hosts who offer the same features, and some even offer more, for cheaper prices. All prices are displayed as monthly fees, but you can choose to pay annually, biennially, or triennially.
The accepted payment methods are limited to PayPal and credit/debit cards. All plans are backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Brickell Host has a Knowledgebase, with dozens of helpful tutorials for getting the most out of your web hosting and fixing some of the most common problems you might encounter. Of course, customer support is always available to help if something goes wrong!
Brickell Host’s support is available 24/7 through live chat, phone, email, and support ticket. I went for the live chat and got connected instantly. The agent was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and, all in all, very helpful.
