Angellight's 10,000 "happy customers" surely can't be wrong, and they're sure to benefit from superior support. My main concern is the limited amount of web space you get with your shared hosting.

Overview

Angellight

Founded in 2001, Cyprus-based Angellight Services Ltd brings many years of hosting experience to the market. Its hosting solutions include shared hosting, reseller hosting, virtual servers, and dedicated servers, plus domain registration and web design services.

Angellight’s servers sit in French, German, and American data centers, and its Greek-language website displays prices in euros.

Features and Ease of Use

Angellight’s shared hosting plans provide these key features:

  • 99.9% to 100% uptime guarantee
  • cPanel control panel
  • DirectAdmin control panel
  • Unlimited email accounts
  • Unlimited subdomains
  • Email spam protection
  • Softaculous application installer

I’m not impressed with the disk space provided with these plans, which ranges from 500 MB to 3.2 GB. It may be enough for beginners, personal blogs, and websites with small-to-medium traffic, but it is not as much as you get with other popular hosts.

You get a choice of two control panels, cPanel and DirectAdmin, both of which are capable of handling many management tasks. But whereas DirectAdmin is free, you have to pay for cPanel. Either way, the included Softaculous installer provides a large library of installation scripts for programs such as WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal.

Since Angellight is a software development company with more than 12 security patents, you can be sure that it takes security seriously. It protects your website against cyber-threats with a powerful firewall, antivirus, and other measures.

If shared hosting isn’t sufficient for your needs, you can instead opt for one of Angellight’s VPS solutions. These are offered at three levels, with 30 GB to 60 GB disk space and 1 TB to 3 TB bandwidth. You can choose between the cPanel, Plesk, and Vesta control panels, and you get a free SSL certificate plus a $100 Google advertising voucher.

Pricing and Support

For the features on offer, Angellight’s shared and VPS hosting plans are offered at moderate-to-high prices. Adding cPanel will add to the costs, but (on a brighter note), you can get discounts on some packages. You get a 30-day money-back guarantee, and you can pay for plans by bank transfer, credit card, cash, check, PayPal, or Western Union.

For self-support, Angellight’s website includes a knowledge base that contains tutorials covering most major topics. If this doesn’t answer all your questions, you can contact the support team by submitting a ticket, sending an email, initiating a live chat, or calling the company. Although the live chat was offline when I wanted to try it, I received a response to my support ticket within an hour:

Angellight

Bottom line on Angellight

While Angellight provides a good number of web hosting solutions, I do find the shared hosting plans to be somewhat limited in terms of web space and basic features. That said, I am happy with this provider’s support and self-support resources.

Pros

  • Up to 100% uptime guarantee
  • 30-day money-back guarantee
  • 24/7 customer support
  • Free SSL certificate with virtual servers

Cons

  • Website only in Greek
  • Low disk space

For reliable hosting, choose Angellight.
