Nadiia Solo’s journey to becoming a Kajabi expert wasn’t a straight path. It started on the casino floor, where she spent eight and a half years as a table games dealer and then a poker supervisor. While she enjoyed the work, a bad experience with a manager made her realize she needed to find a way to be her own boss and work on her own terms. In a recent Website Planet feature, Nadiia shared how her desire to never work for a “terrible boss” again became her biggest motivator.

This decision coincided with her second pregnancy, and her maternity leave became her chance to pivot her career. She enrolled in a 12-week online course about setting up online businesses and courses. She had always been drawn to the technical side of things; computer science came naturally to her, and she loved working with systems and computers.

During this time, she landed her first client—a business that wanted to migrate its courses from Thinkific to Kajabi. At the time, she knew nothing about Kajabi, but she embraced the challenge. My fear of going back to my old job was greater than my fear of failing as an entrepreneur. In March 2020, as the world shut down due to COVID-19, I decided to take a leap of faith. I posted a gig on a freelance platform, offering Kajabi setups and website builds. To my surprise, I was booked solid within two months and was soon earning almost as much as I did at my 9-to-5 job.

This success proved that I could achieve my goal of being home with my kids, making a living, and working on my own terms. From there, I continued to explore Kajabi’s features, and my business took off. I registered my company, Solo Site Solutions, and refined my offerings to focus specifically on building websites, creating systems, and setting up funnels on Kajabi. My business was born from a desire for freedom and the discovery of a platform that could provide it.

By creating these tight, systemized workflows, we empower solopreneurs to scale their businesses without sacrificing their time or energy. It’s about building a business that works for them, not the other way around.

My blog is where I love to share insights about different platforms and strategies. I often approach articles by doing side-by-side comparisons and focusing on the reader’s needs. For example, I might ask, “If you’re trying to do this, then this tool is probably better for you.” I highlight the best features of each platform to guide my readers toward the best choice for their goals.

My goal is to provide readers with the confidence to choose the right platform and know that it will help them accomplish their goals. They can read my articles, feel more confident in their decisions, and always have the option to reach out for a more in-depth consultation on which specific platform or system is best for them.

In conclusion, I want to share this with all creators and service providers: if you have a dream, you should absolutely go for it. It will be hard, and it will be uncomfortable at times, but in the end, it will all be worth it.
